Be not afraid of greatness, some are born great, some achieve greatness and others have greatness thrust upon them ~ William Shakespeare.

Nate

"Son are you ready yet? We're going to be late!" My father instructed me hastily as he made his way to the waiting car. My parents were both ready and waiting for me. I took my time to prepare myself adequately.

Its not everyday you get to see your girlfriend on the red carpet runway.

My father drove us to the magnificent Lily Havens and I was as nervous as anyone can be. This was a special moment for all of us and I didn't want to ruin it for us.

But mostly for her.

As we arrived at the grand hotel, the place was adorned beautifully and the paparazzi were already loitering the place in great numbers. Celebrities I had never seen face to face milled the entrance all wanting a piece of the magnificent event and the magnificent Elle as they called her.

Once we entered the hall, my mouth hang open due to the beauty of the place.

It was absolutely breathtaking.

The chandeliers hang adorably on the ceiling and they all cast a shade of light that could lighten any mood. Everything just reminded me of that wonderful place that Ryn and I loved so much. The hilltop where we fell in love.

I couldn't believe that what we at first thought was just a mere fantasy had truly come to be reality.

When I turned my gaze to the wall, a painting, one of my own works was hung beautifully against the wall with words that Ryn had added when it was complete. They were extraordinary words that she loved to tell people and my heart clenched in appreciation and adoration for the woman of my dreams, my woman.

The words were in bold italics and they read; You must learn never to look at yourself through someone else's glasses.

Everything in the room reminded me of her, her true beauty and the greatness of just her presence. It wasn't the looks alone that drew  me to her, her entire existence spoke volumes.

As my eyes wandered across and around the room, I spotted Ray who had Glenn tightly held by his side. In all honesty, I never saw the two of them together. But then again, I might not have been looking. When his gaze landed on me, he smiled then made his way to me. My parents had already gone to find their seats and I was left alone dumbfounded by the dazzling beauty of the place. Everywhere in the hall, the icon of two fingers signalling a V were displayed. It was the icon of the Clarence Modelling company, that symbolized victory. And true to it, ever since Ryn stepped foot in the Company as their new CEO victory was the only thing they got.

"Hey man, you look really good." Ray congratulated with a bright smile on his face and Glenn stepped forward to tightly embrace me.

"Hey Ray, Glenn, how are you two doing?" I greeted back.

"We are as nervous as hell, Ryn thought it was a beautiful idea to have the two of us perform a song after the models do their thing. Where is she anyway?" Glenn answered.
