3'rd persons POV

Nico woke up, still some traces of drowsiness in his mind. He was about to get out of the comfortable warmth that was his sheets when he realized.

He didn't have any.

His bed was gone too.
Looking around he saw that he didn't have a room either.

In a still sleepy daze he tried to figure out where he was, when he saw:

"Oh, no"
Nico scrambled to his feet.

"Not this again!" He half shouted. Weakly hitting the worktable that had both blueprints and several burn marks scattered around the (what looked like) newly painted worktable.

"You should be careful. It took me a while to make those" a unknown voice said behind him.
Nico's body turned, quickly getting in a fighting position, ready to attack whomever was here in this dream like landscape with him.

He stopped though when he saw what was standing there, er, more like who was standing there. It looked like a boy, quite a bit taller than Nico, he was wearing a mask that resembled one of those plague masks that doctors used when the Black Plague terrorized the world.

The mask had black holes where the eyes were. Though the boy had some sort of black glass that didn't allow Nico to see through them. What Nico could see was that the boy had brown hair that could be mistaken for black. He thought he saw some curls, but the boy had to much grease in his hair to be certain.

Another weird thing that Nico noticed was that the boy had a bunch of small gnome like figures that were running around and working on building something. First he thought they had been dipped in yellow paint, though after a closer inspection he realized that they were made out of gold!

"I'm guessing you're the associate Jason was talking about?" Nico asked. He had tried to keep his voice leveled, but his efforts were in vain as even he, himself, heard the shakiness that traced it.

The masked boy laughed, though it came out raspy, and quite a bit muffled as his mask covered his face. He shook his head in a disappointed manner.

"So you already figured out his identity already. Jason never was really good at hiding his identify for long" He cleared his throat (though his voice still remained as unnatural as ever).

"I guess I shouldn't keep you here for much longer" He said, but it seemed he was talking more to himself than Nico.

He turned away from Nico and it looked like he was looking for something on the worktable in front of him. When he found what he was looking for he turned back to Nico.

He took two steady steps toward Nico, and Nico couldn't help but take a step back. Though when he did his back met a worktable.

The masked boy raised what he had grabbed from the table, and only now could Nico get a good look at it. It was a hammer, or, it resembled a hammer. It was much bigger than a normal hammer and he remembered Leo telling him that they were called 'War-Hammers'.

Before Nico had a chance to do something the hammer was brought down on his head. He didn't feel any pain at first. He realized that he had clenched his eyes shut and only now had he opened them again he saw that he was back in his bed.

Looking out the window in his room he saw that the sun had just started to rise over the horizon, giving the whole town a orange hue.

He sunk down deeper into his sheets with a sigh.

Only then did he realize something.

He didn't have a tail.
