the two of you wondered around for about an hour, since you didn't really know each other too well, you didnt know what to do together. really it was just walking around the area in comfortable silence, taking in the warm spring air, it was nice, the silence was broken when he let out a long sigh, looking up from his phone,

"whats wrong?"

"well, i just got dumped, so..."

"what i didnt-"

"too obessed with volleyball, i dont spend enough time with her. it was me not her."

he shot you a sad smile, obviously holding back tears,

"oh oikawa, im so sorry..."

he laughed a bit, "i was trying this time too, i really was..."

you looked at him, this was the most vulnerable you had ever seen him, his guard was down. in this moment, he was allowing himself this, the opportunity to not be perfect, to not be such a douche. his thoughts were flooded with the feeling of inferiority again, his train of thought was stopped when you spoke up,

"stop crying, shes not worth it. shes mad that youre actually good at something, if youre that upset about her, ill beat a bitch up. ok?"

he looked up from the ground, he smiled brightly and laughed, he gave you a look that was hard to read,

"ok."

he quickly grabbed your wrist and led you into a convenience store, 

"what are we-?"

"grab whatever snacks you want, i have a surprise!"

reluctantly, you grabbed some of your favorite snacks, putting them in a basket, you didnt have a clue what was going on in that boys head. one things for sure, you were going to pay this time, you refused to be in debt to this man.

when you met up at the counter, piling your snacks on top, you snatched his wallet out of his hand before he could take out his money,

"hey!-"

"hush child."

you quickly inserted your card when the man finished scanning the items, feeling satisfied, you handed him his wallet and gave him a sweet smile. he scoffed and looked away, clearly irritated with your antics. grabbing the bag and receipt, you went back out into the now slightly cool evening air. he asked you to follow him as he led you down a few streets, around 20 mins later, you arrived at a house, which you correctly assumed was his.

as you entered his house he quickly led you to his room tossing his school bag into a corner as he plopped down on his bed pulling out his laptop. you neatly set your bag beside his and sat beside him.

"so whats the surprise?"

he smirked,

"look at the stars and watch movies with me?"

"i-, you are the most sappy, cliche person ive ever met. what, do you run one of those aEsThEtiC tumblr blogs too?"

he quickly looked away, 

"n-no, thats stupid-"

as you laughed at his embarrassment you agreed to his proposal. 

his idea of 'good movies' consisted of those horribly written romance comedies and horror films, it was around 12 when he finally took you outside, looking up at the night sky which was littered with bright stars.

"look! theres the leo constellation!" he turned to you, excitedly bouncing on his toes,

never really bothering to look at the sky at night, you couldnt make out what he was talking about,

"where? i cant tell where it is?"

he laughed before coming behind you taking your hand in his,

"what ya doin there buddy?"

"relax, y/n-chan, let me show you where the constellation is!"

he took your hand, guiding it, showing you each point of the constellation, you could finally make out the shape, it excited you, finally being able to understand why he was so happy looking at the sky, you turned to face him, when you did you realized your faces were only centimetres apart, nearly touching,

"y/n..."
