Chapter 5

Chaeyoung arrived at the rehearsal venue two minutes earlier than the call time. "What took you so long? Hurry up and go to the backstage. Don't give the others a bad impression of your first runway walk." James said frowning.

Chaeyoung laughed and said, "I was drunk last night but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I think I got the target's attention in a very awkward way."

James suddenly hooked his arms around her and said, "Tell me what has happened? What do you mean?"

Chaeyoung winked and said, "I will tell you later, after the rehearsal. So, don't scold me since I still made it on time."

Then she pulled herself out of his hands and quickly went inside. She was grinning.

James was a nagger, that gay was a perfectionist when it came to working, especially with matters like coming in time. She always heard him complaining whenever there was an artist, being late at the set. He hated handling tardy stars.

James shook his head and smiled, as he looked at Chaeyoung's back. He was working within the entertainment industry for so long, and he could read almost all types of people.

When Lina asked him to get someone for Jeon Jungkook, Chaeyoung was the only fitting person he had thought of.

There was something about her that would definitely get Jeon Jungkook's attention, compared to other women he knew. It was just a hunch, he was not sure if he was doing the right thing too, but one thing was for sure: it would help Chaeyoung with her current situation.

He had also offered Chaeyoung his support. However, he couldn't do it openly like what Lina could do for her. Lina had the connections to all the networks Chaeyoung had needed.

Then, he thought about Jeon Jungkook, he was the typical cold, rich man and said to be ruthless, but he was a clean person, thus he did not do dirty things like physically assaulting, hurting, or killing people.

Jeon Jungkook was a civilized person, so James was sure that in case Chaeyoung succeeded and completed the task, it would not bring Chaeyoung any harm. In the end, that was the reason he was confident to get Chaeyoung involved in this matter.

Besides, Lina had prepared everything for Chaeyoung's disappearance after the job is done, so he would not be able to see her when that time came.

It was just a waste that Chaeyoung wouldn't be able to pursue her career for now, because she was born for the limelight. He could clearly tell that she could become a star in the near future; she was very promising, given with her talents. If she succeeded, she would definitely need to hide from Jungkook's radar for a certain amount of time. Maybe, a year at most.

"Good one! Okay, let's wrap up guys!" shouted the director, as the models were signaled to dismiss.

All the models came from six continents. Chaeyoung was included in the models that would be walking twice.

"So, what do you think about the catwalk? You are natural. I can also give you an opportunity for acting after a year." James exclaimed while they were inside a coffee shop.

Chaeyoung just smiled, she was not sure if she should pursue the limelight. She was confused at the moment because it was out of line from the course she had graduated from.

Her thoughts were interrupted by Jame's sudden poking, "So, tell me what about Jeon Jungkook?" James asked excitedly.

Chaeyoung told him everything.

She heard James scream in just a moderate tone, not to catch any attention and said, "Kinky tremendous!"

"Hush, you are too noisy. You know that's my usual routine. I have even slept with just my undies on or without anything at all. It's a good thing I fainted and wasn't able to take off my clothes. Jeon Jungkook is a slight pervert, I guess. He saw me stripping and did not even make a sound until I saw him!" Chaeyoung frowned as she remembered how her hair stood on end, seeing the look in Jungkook's eyes while he stared at her.

Then, her phone beeped.

[Meet me at the hotel lobby at 4 pm. It's me, the guy you have to compensate.]

Chaeyoung frowned. "Compensate? I don't even have a penny and he is the one, who is super rich!" she complained while typing a reply.

"I told you, you're the best for this. See that? It's like in the drama, he will probably ask for your body." James bluntly said and laughed, seeing how Chaeyoung covered her chest as if she was nude.

'What a funny ga,l' he thought inwardly, still laughing at Chaeyoung's reaction.

"Wait, what should I reply? I have told him earlier that I will compensate him." Chaeyoung said and sighed as she deleted the reply.

"Just meet him and ask what he wants. Wait, what if he asks for a night. You know some rich man does that stuff. Most of my artists are willing to do anything to be on top." James looked at Chaeyoung directly and was curious about what was on her mind.

"Is he nuts? He should be the one to compensate me, instead, for seeing my almost naked body for free! I'm just being nice to him, because he did not take advantage that night, given with the perfect opportunity. If he was Minho, I am sure I would have woken up this morning with all my body sore and in pain." Chaeyoung explained.

She had actually admired, how Jungkook respected her during the night because not all the guys could have done the same.

"Well, probably, he was not into you, or you are not his type," said James, who was obviously teasing her.

"We will see. But you know what? I don't know why, but there's a chilling feeling whenever he stares at me, as if..." Chaeyoung hesitated and just continued typing her reply, confirming her presence.

"What? Tell me," James insisted.

"Never mind," Chaeyoung pouted her lips.

After a little bit of bantering and chatting the two separated. Chaeyoung returned to the hotel to freshen up and change.

'He's a bit early,' Chaeyoung noticed when he saw Jungkook, waiting at the hotel lobby.

She walked towards him and greeted him, "Hi."

Jungkook looked at her. She was just in a casual dress, yet she still looked striking in his eyes.

He stood up and said, "Let's go," Chaeyoung frowned and asked,

"Wait, where are we going?"

"Oh right, how many nights have you booked your room for?" Jungkook suddenly asked.

Although confused, Chaeyoung answered, "I got seven more days to stay, why?"

"You have promised to compensate me. So, I decided that you should accompany me during my free time and treat me to every meal for seven days." Jungkook said, looking straight into her eyes as he grinned wickedly.
