What Marion had just told me didn’t make sense at all. I had never employed anyone by that name. I had to get to the bottom of it though that would wait till I got back from Scotland. I knew all my workers names and I would swear on my uncle’s grave I didn’t know any Martinez in my life. Her men might have picked the wrong intel no matter how much Marion tried to convince me that she heard the recordings too, she would later send the recordings to Greg and I to take a listen. That was fair enough at least there would be no second guessing but if my father was talking to someone called Martinez about me then it was my business to know who it was.
There was lots turbulence, she couldn’t even walk around her phobia of dying from a plane crash was one alert, her anxiety was almost consuming her she had to take deep breaths to control herself. She had to remind herself that her main enemies could not reach her, it was just turbulence which was common in air travel and her pilots were the best of the best, she only hired the top people in their field she didn’t do mediocre. She always believed if you get good enough people to do the job one could only get a shitty result. It was true though, she had seen it happen in a lot of situations and she swore to herself that she would never be that corporate lady. If she had to compete with the men in her field she had to get her A game.
She had 8 hours to spend on air, she had used the past one hour of her nine hour flight worrying about things that were not in her power to change. Mina had sent her an email detailing her schedule from the moment she lands. She would be waiting for her at the airport. Mina had gone two days before her, they were supposed to go together but the hiccups she had ran into because of her father had messed up her working schedule completely.
She wasn’t worried about anything going wrong in Scotland. She decided it was good if she took a nap so that she wouldn’t feel so jetlagged when she landed. She had always hated the jetlag, the last time she travelled she was so exhausted and got sick from it. She wasn’t sure if she needed a vacation she had been planning all along in her head. It wasn’t worth it she thought to herself.
Greg crossed her mind, she had not seen him before she left. She understood the pressure Greg had but she had always felt safe when he would see her off. She missed him, she would definitely call him once she landed.
With that she drifted off to sleep.
TIMOTHY O’BRIAN
The fact that I couldn’t find Madison anywhere made me lose my mind. That woman had distorted everything I had worked for. Why did she have a stubborn spirit that even when death was knocking on her door she would still have a way to torment me? I had looked everywhere, it’s not that I cared but her miserable death was part of my plan. Why was it taking too long for the body to appear? I couldn’t stop asking myself questions. Martinez hadn’t heard anything from Beatrix meaning nothing was happening in that front. I kept hoping that the body would show up soon.
A thought popped up my head, send a message to Beatrix to let her know that her beloved good for nothing mother was missing. That would definitely demand a response from her. I knew how much she loved her mother, she had always stood up for her since she was born. She had managed to keep her safe and hidden from me all these years, the only thing they both didn’t know is that they played my game just the way I wanted. Madison was just another chest piece and Beatrix has always been my opponent. This was a love and war game even though they had never known they were all in my game plan.
Martinez had told me that she had left for Scotland for a business meeting, I wanted to know the company she was supposed to go to so that I would send the fax directly to the company and make sure she was handed my fax personally.
An evil smile curved on my thin lips this would be a show to watch excitedly it did suck that I had no information about the company she was supposed to have a meeting with neither would I be able to send my spies to every company and inquire about her and lastly I didn’t have anyone on her team that I could bribe for a moment. I wanted real time updates and Martinez been in Oklahoma was not serving the purpose. I was drained mentally nothing I would do would get me real time news.
I was defeated at the moment my plan had to wait or maybe not I had one more move to make Greg was my bishop.

Camille
Once we landed I made a call to Greg, the network reception was perfect at the hangar. He didn’t have much to say but his words echoed in my head as the limo drove me to The Glenfiddich Distillery in Dufftown. ANYTHING I NEED, well what I needed was him here and every drama that my father was up to gone, a seemingly unattainable wish.
Wings of anxiety twittered in my stomach when the limo reached Dufftown. The butterflies doubled once the door was opened. I closed my eyes and drew a succession of deep breaths. In through the nose. Out through the mouth.
You can do this Camille, you are the badass, and ruthless business lady with iron balls nothing can stop you. Anything I would do to keep my confidence up highly needed if I was to be on top of my game in this meeting. I glanced at my phone, resting on the leather seat to my left, softly vibrating looking at the caller ID a soft shiver went down my spine. What did Greg need? We had just talked when I landed. Something must be wrong.
Mina gave me a concerned look, I managed to smile and let her know I would catch up with them. This was an important call I couldn’t ignore it.
“Yes Greg,” I said trying to sound as calm as I could be.
“Cami, well it’s not that important but I thought you would want to know this.” Greg told me, my mind was already rushing, I could feel my skin burning. “What is it Greg?” Sweat slowly forming on the creases of my forehead as I listened to what he had to say.
“Timothy has sent me a message about Madison. He says that she is missing, I am not sure why he has sent his message directly to me but I think he already knows you are not around so that means this Martinez person is someone that knows you very well and has your schedule. That eliminates so many of your employees and leave us with Mina, Jacky and the other housekeepers. I’ll start looking into them in the meantime keep your guard up whenever you are with your personal assistant till when I can clear her”.
Well this was great news I said happily, Greg sounded confused when I said that. “Camille what is great in whatever I just said?”
