“Pass up!” I shouted as my teammate drove up to me and passed. I then took a three-point shot, winning our team the game.

“Good work everyone, you are now dismissed.” The coach said as the team headed out, either alone, or in groups. When everyone had left, including the coach, I stayed behind to clean up after the court, putting the balls in place and such. Being the captain of the team, I had to be responsible.

After I finished up, I grabbed my bag and decided to head out. "Better head home quick, or my roommate will be worried."

"Hey, (Y/N)!" A voice called me out from behind. I turned around to see that it was Tsukushi, one of my best friends.

"Hey Tsukushi, why are you still here?" I asked, heading towards the front gate.

"Waiting for you, of course!” Tsukushi said, trailing behind me. “I wanted to walk home with you!”

“Well, that’s nice. Anyways, how was your day?” I asked, patting her head.

“Good, just a little tired from studying, that’s all,” Tsukushi replied, yawning. “Oh, by the way, are you free this--”

My ringtone cut Tsukushi off, and I held up a finger, signalling her to wait. I picked up my phone to find out that my mom was calling.

“Oh hey mom, what’s up?” I said.

“Ah, hello son. Nice to hear your voice. Anyways, I’m calling to inform you that your old friend, Chiyu, asked for your number, and I gave it to her,” my mom said.

When I heard the name ‘Chiyu’, my jaw dropped.

“C-Chiyu, as in Chiyu Tamade? That kid who bossed me around, made me her personal horse, pinched me, and on top of that made me do her music homework?” I replied, raising my voice a little.

“Yes, I believe so. I understand that you might be angry but there is no need to raise your voice. I’m quite busy right now so I need to hang up. Good luck with school,” she said as she hung up.

I gulped as I put my phone back into my back pocket, Tsukushi looked at me with a worried face and asked, “What’s wrong? You don’t look so hot,”

“I’m fine,” I replied as I continued walking home.
“Oh, alright then. As I was saying, are you free this--” Tsukushi tried to continue, but was cut off by my ringtone once again.

I looked at her apologetically and looked down at my phone to see an unknown number calling.

“Who is it?” Tsukushi asked, a bit upset.

I shrugged as I picked it up and spoke into the phone, “Hello?”

A loud and familiar voice replied in no time, “Hello, are you (Y/N)?”

“U-uhm, yes… Are you… “ I tried asking, but she cut me off before I could finish.

“Chiyu Tamade. Your childhood friend. I need you to come over to this address, now!” she demanded as she hung up. The beeping of the cellphone met my ears before I could disagree with her. A second later, she messaged me an address that was quite a distance from here.

“Hey Tsukushi, can we talk tomorrow? I’m kind of in a hurry right now,” I said, putting my phone in my pocket once again.

“Huh? Hey, wait!” Tsukushi shouted at me, flailing her arms to catch my attention, but I ran off into the streets already, looking for a taxi.

Tsukushi just puffed her cheeks, as she walked away in the other direction.

[ 30 minutes later ]

When a taxi didn’t show up, I had to run all the way here, “Good exercise I guess,” I muttered, panting.

I made my way inside the building, and the reception lady told me to head onto the top floor. When I reached the top, I looked around and saw a large swimming pool, and a gravel path leading to a door. The path had polished square rocks as steps that could get slippery if wet. I followed the steps, careful to not slip and went inside the door. I saw a large practice room filled with various instruments. There were rows of guitars, flutes, two drum sets, several violins and trumpets and a grand piano in the centre of the room.

“You’re here!” a voice said. A chair in front of me turned around and Chiyu was seated there with a huge smile on her face. She was just as short as I remember.

“Hey, nice seeing you,” I said, smiling a bit.

“Ugh, you stink. Can you go take a shower first?” she said, pinching her nose and waving her other hand in front of it.  “It’s at the room that’s right next to the elevator. Go!”

“Still bossy as ever… “ I muttered under my breath as I headed out. I went through the door she told me to go to, and yet again, I was quite amazed. It was a large room with black marble floor, a huge television for the room’s centrepiece, a luxurious tabletop kitchen and other rooms that I felt like I should not peek into without permission.

I opened a door that had a toilet sign, who knew that a person would need toilet signs in their own house, and went inside. There was yet another grand sight, a round marble sink, with a gold faucet that looked like an umbrella’s handle with separate handles for hot and cold water. There was also a high-tech toilet that had automatic bidets that could spray with a push of a button. Moreover, a huge bathtub encrusted with the same gold as the faucet facing the shower which had the water sprayer on the ceiling.

“Rich kid… “ I muttered as I entered the shower booth to take a quick shower. I put on my extra clothes that I brought along and headed back to the practice room.

“Alright, done. What did you call me over for?” I said as I entered the room.

“Simple. I want you to be the manager of our band!” Chiyu replied enthusiastically.
