Chapter 10: The hello happy cruise!

"All aboard the S.S Smile!" a girl with a sailor's outfit cheerfully said, waving at me. Although I couldn't distinctly make out her facial features, she seemed like a nice person.

"H-hey, are you guys Hello Happy World?" I asked as I cautiously boarded the ship. As the closer I got to them, the more vivid the colours of their hair and eyes pierced through the darkness, as well as their distinct facial features.

"Yes we are! And to make our first meeting special, we decided to give you a cruise on our huge ship! Oh, my name is Kokoro by the way!" a blonde girl shouted with excitement, judging by her voice, it was the same person who first told me to come into the boat.

Just then, someone tapped me on the shoulder. "Hey, (Y/N), right?" a girl with short, black hair and pale grey eyes said.

"Oh hey, yeah," I replied, turning around to face her. She was rather cute, pairing an oversized grey hoodie with white shorts. When I looked at her face closely, I recognized her, but I couldn't put my tongue on what her name was.

"Sorry Kokoro put you through this...Her ideas are just so crazy all the time...Oh, my name is Misaki, by the way." she said.

"Right...I understand. I just hope nothing too crazy happens..." I replied, scratching the nape of my neck.

"Just stay by me or Kanon's side. We're the only sane ones on this cruise..." Misaki said.

"Right, so where is Kanon or the other band members?" I asked, looking around the deck to see no one else but the three of us.

"Inside. C'mon," Misaki said as she gently grabbed my hand and led me inside.

Once we were inside, I was in complete awe. The insides were huge, the ceiling stretching so high up from the ground with a huge glimmering chandelier, illuminating the room with warm yellow hues. Looking up there pained my neck, strained from looking at all of the floors inside of this huge ship. I knew that there would be several floors, but I didn't know I would ever board a ship this luxurious. The side rooms exceed at least 20 floors, with a huge marble staircase placed in the middle of the room that flares out at each floor, leading to the separate rooms. There was also a statue carved out from limestone as the main entrance's centerpiece, the glossy acrylic wooden floor was lined with a red-patterned carpet, having golden semicircles every few centimeters.

"Wow, this place is amazing!" I exclaimed as I looked around the ship. "Where are the other members by the way?"

"H-hello (Y/N)! Sorry to put you through this..." A girl with pale blue hair said as she walked over to me. She had big violet eyes and a side of her hair was neatly tied into a ribbon. She looked extremely adorable.

"O-oh no it's fine. You must be kanon, right?" I asked, extending my hand.

"Y-yes I am. Nice to meet you!" The girl said as she shook it.

"Where are the other band members, by the way?" I asked, looking around.

Just then, a purple-haired girl caught my attention with her laugh, it sounded as if she was super dominating and confident, leaning into the other band members really casually and talking quite loudly. A girl like her was sort of different than the others as when she caught me staring, she calmly approached and said, "I'm Seta Kaoru, you can call me whatever you want, but most of my friends just call me Kaoru. I've noticed you've been looking at me, is there something wrong?"

I gulped, shocked to be asked such a straightforward question, I couldn't just tell her I was looking at her though, it could rub her the wrong way and offend her, I don't want that.

"Uhm, my apologies, I was looking because I thought you looked familiar, but apparently not," I managed to mutter.

"Oh, not a problem! Don't worry about it," she said as she walked back to talk to the ginger-haired girl she was talking to before, who I assume to be a part of Hello Happy World.
