Lumity:confession

3rd person

Luz and Amity walked out of the last store. The sky was a beautiful reddish yellowish pink.

"Hey, wanna go check out that garden?" Luz asked as she fiddled with her thumbs nervously.

"Oh, sure. That sounds nice." Amity responded. They walked across the street, through a beautifully carved marble arch that led it a garden. The outside was surrounded with rose bushes and roses of every color you could imagine. There was a pond in the center, that had a bench on a platform in the center of the pond. There was a small wooden bridge leading to the pond. The sky had turned a navy blue, peppered with stars. Amity looked around at all the different roses. There was a light shining over head so that you could still see the roses at night. Luz crosses the bridge to the bench, we're she got up on it.

"Amity." Amity turned around. She made her confession speech, and held out the roses and pearl choker. Amity stared at her for a few seconds before speaking.

"I-I'm sorry Luz. I want to go with you, but I'm a Blight. My parents would kill me if they found out I liked girls, let alone went with one. I can't go with you." Luz's heart dropped.

"It's ok. At least take these." She handed Amity her roses and her pearl choker, and then left to go home.

"Hey kid, how was your day?" Eda asked.

"It was ok." Luz responded. She walked up the stars and flopped down on her bed. And before she knew it, she was asleep.
