today is the day my life changes. the day i leave where i grew up. i woke up to 100+ "im going to miss you" texts. im sad. ive been sad since yesterday when i found out. let me catch you up... FLASHBACK "mom! im back from school!" i yell from my front door. my mom walks down the stairs to me. "hey hun, ive got some news." she says as she hugs me. "what is it?". she looked serious, my face changed from a smile to a weak, fake smile.
"your father's job is making our family move to new jersey." my face drops, so does my bag from my hands. "what? no, no they can't do that." "im so sorry lex" she pulls me into a hug as i feel tears come down my face.
"can't dad just get a new job here?" "it's not that easy lex." "mom i cant leave my friends, my school, my hous-" i say as i breakdown in her arms. she kisses the top of my head, "it's going to be okay. i know it will, plus we get a bigger house right?" i give her a fake smile as i pull myself out of the hug.
"we need to start packing, we're leaving tomorrow morning." "t- tomorrow morning ?" i froze on my way upstairs. they can't make us go tomorrow. they're making me leave everything behind, my best friends. shit, how am i going to explain this to them.
i run to my room and scream in my pillow. fuck im so MAD. how selfish can they be? im not good at making new friends, im going to be the new girl that no one likes.

why. why do they have to do this. yeah i guess my dad's job pays well but can't he just- im not going to try to fight it. ill get the fresh start ive always wanted, right ? i got two big duffle bags and started throwing my clothes in them. i didn't care if it was neat, i just wanted it to be over with.
after a few hours, i had everything packed. except my bed, dresser, furniture stuff. i tried to look on the bright side but i just couldn't.
