"yeah and then we all die!" Steve says. "oh come on Steve lighten up it's not eveyday we get to fight monsters." I say picking up the spiked bat. He snatches it. "I just don't want you getting hurt." He says. I smile softly. "I promise I'll be fine." I say. The kids just look at each other in disgust. "hey! you'll be in live one day." I say but quickly regret as I've never told Steve that. The kids had already left the room. "you love me?" he asks shakey. I sigh. "I'm sorry if it's too early in the relationship but its h-" I was cutt off by a pair of lips and Steve's hands against my cheeks. I kiss back. after what seemed like a few seconds we pull away. "cause I love you too." he says above a whisper. "get a room!" Max yelled. I put the middle finger up and we all laughed.
