my phone started ringing indicating that I was getting a call. i answered it and was met with the smiling face of jack.
"hey." i said, waving.
"hi, you look pretty." he said.
i blushed, "thank you. You don't look that bad yourself."
"that's like the most cliche thing to say." he laughed, "but I'll take it."
"shush." i chuckled a bit.
"so, what are you up to?" he asked.
"oh you know the usual stressful life of a college student." i said, "i'm trying to finish this stupid essay but I'm so lazy."
"don't worry you can do it. i believe in you."
"thank you, you're the best." i smiled then looked at the time. "hey I'm really sorry but I have to go now I'll talk to you later. i promise."
"alright, we'll talk later. bye em." he waved and hung up.
i felt bad about having to leave when we barely even had a conversation but my essay was due in about two hours and i was no where near done.
