chapter 17

The Son family sprinted, running quicker than they ever had in their whole life, Gohan, Goten and Chi chi cried out as they managed to bring their legs to move as fast as they could, their hearts rising as the silhouette of Goku became clearer by every second, shortly followed by the rest of Gokus child hood friend

bodies throwing eachother on top of Gokus large figure, cries and laughter were heard from miles away as everyone rejoiced at their beloved heros return

Everyone except Gokus closest friends and family stayed behind, Vegeta Trunks Piccolo and 18, standing there akwardly peering at the man being attacked with love over the amount of years they had lost with him

Gine stood by them, still with fear, as she felt anxiety rising up her stomach, she watched as the following events unfolded infront of her

The large spiky heared man, who looked strikingly identical to her twin brother proceeded to give out seperate hugs as light hearted chuckles escaped from his mouth, scratching the underneath of his nose with a burning blush on his face as people cried out for him, Gine felt a pang as she knew she had been carrying around that odd habit for years

Goku suddenly looked down once he had some free space away from the mountains of people tumbling on top of him, he peered down at his newest son, the boy who was a replica of the fathers younger self

He picked Goten up carefully, swinging him onto his shoulder as he giggled teasingly alongside his newest family member

"Quite a strong boy arent you" Goku laughed

Gohan and Chi chi looked back at the heartwarming sight, squeezing their hands together as they felt joy finally return back to their hearts

"And my gosh Gohan, you've grown so much, why your almost as tall as your old man now" goku said looking at his eldest son proudly

Gohan struggled to fight back tears, choking slightly on his next words he managed to say "thanks dad"

Finally Gokus eyes landed on her, his waiting wife, the woman who had stuck by his side through thick and thin

The angel gentilly brought down his son from his shoulder blades as he walked over to Chi chis trembling body, she sniffled lightly into her hankerchief as she struggled back the sob in ther throat

"I missed you Chi chi" Goku said quietly to her, placing his large hand on her right cheek, cupping her smooth skin as Chi chis head slightly fell onto his palm

"Oh Goku you have no idea how happy i am to see you"

The weeping wife flinged Gokus hand away from the side of her face as she threw her body onto his, pulling him into a tight embrace as she buried herself into his warm chest, breathing in the scent she had been accustomed too for years

Goku pulled his head back, looking down at his wife he lifted up her chin with his fingertips, slowly placing his lips ontop of hers lovingly

Gohan and Goten teasingly immitated a throwing up sound, resulting in their mother smacking them both in the arms before continuing to lock lips with the man she had been waiting for years to come back into her arms

Gine was quickly shot back into her body as she felt Trunks voice tickle into her ear, "is that your father" he questioned quietly

The young girl looked back embarrassingly, that was her father, the man she should have been hugging and kissing by now yet she couldn't pull herself to do it, she had built up a wall for so long, pretending to everyone she didnt care she grew up without a father, a man to guide the young girl throughout her life, who was there to play and teach her new things everyday, it felt impossible for her to break out of actor after a long time of playing the role

It must have been Gines luck that day because Piccolo had quietly been observing the conversation, listening in with his enhanced Namekian hearing

The alien coughd abruptely, disturbing the atmosphere in the group as everyone turned to look at him

"Goku theres something it seems everyones forgotten to tell you.. Goten isnt your only new child, he has a twin sister"

Gines body flushed burningly, tensing up she stood there paralyzed, watching everyones eyes suddenly fall on top of her

Goku let go of Chi chi, separating his friends from his view, his eyes quickly landed on top of Vegetas son, he had previously been good friends with the future timeline of Trunks Briefs so he was suprised to see his frowning face as he looked around for his daughter

Gine shut her eyes, not being able to believe the events happening around her

A hand, a large strong hand fell on top of her head, to her suprise it lightly rubbed around, teasingly messing up her silky black hair

Gine let go of clenching her eyes shut as she heard the warm voice of her father whisper "its okay"

The daughter looked up at her father, her eyes twinkling with tears at the sight of him, everything his mother had described about him was true

His round black eyes made her feel safe, his bright smile creating warm fizzles in her stomach, his radient affection made her know everything would be alright

Gokus mouth curled up into a grin as he examined his only daughters face

"You look just like your mother when she was your age, well it almost feels like ive travelled back into time looking at you"

Gine couldnt help letting out a quiet sob, the affection of her father she had always dreamed of coming true felt too much for the young girl as she coughed back the tears escaping from her eyes

"Come here" said Goku caringly as he picked her small figure up, wrapping her legs around her fathers waist she buried herself into his chest just like her mother previously did

Her father placed his hands on top of her back, gentilly soothing her as coughed back sobs escaped from her mouth every now and then

"Whats your name" Goku asked looking down at her, his warm eyes seeping into her heart as she felt his kindness sooth her nerves down

She swallowed the anxiety down as she said
"Gine, my names Gine"

The young girl noticed as her calm fathers face suddenly flushed with a bright red colour, his lips slightly parting as his eyes widened, his head turned around, staring deeply into chi chis eyes as words muttered out of his mouth

"L-like my mother"

Chi chi held her hands together peering back passionately at her husband "yes" she said nodding her head, her voice slighty breaking at the emotion in her voice

The beloved hero looked back at his daughter, the girl that shared the same face with the love of his life, the little girl who shared his passion for fighting aswell as his determined spirit

He lifted his arms up, lifting his girl high up into the air as she giggled along in delight

Gine smiled back widely at her father, giving him a cheeky grin as two deep dimples emerged on each side of her cheek

"My daughter Gine" Goku whispered
