Not everything will be exactly as they appear in the books and movies. The Harry Potter timeline has been moved up to fit with the MCU line- HP#1 will take place in 2010/2011 and Iron Man 1 will stay in 2010, everything will continue from there. Another note is that the British Magical Community will be the same as the books/movies meaning they will not use technology and will continue to use parchment, quills, owls instead of mailing, etc. I had it set in the 90s for a while, but decided to change it to the 2000s because what I have planned fits better. It was set so the MCU line was moved to matched HP, but it has been switched and will stay that way.
