Personally, I don't think this chapter is all that good

Y/n POV

I lowered anchor.

I looked around, knowing where I was. The place I was fucking shot.

So I walked to the bow of my ship, removing my coat and shirt.

???: so you finally came

I looked up, seeing the other, older me. He was slightly transparent, but he was there.

Y/n: what do you want Me

Me; now now, I'm not you. It's more complicated than that

I placed down my clothes and started to remove my weapons.

Y/n: then who are you?

Me: i can't tell you right now, you'll find out in a few minutes

He then disappeared and I blinked.

I don't know if I was convinced he was even there.

But I removed my boots, leaving me just in my pants.

I took a deep breath in, right before I ran to the front of the bow, diving off my ship.

I swam downwards, needing to reach the bottom.

As I neared, I saw a soft blue glow.

I swam towards it, before looking at what it was.

Mental cubes. A few of them, next to....

Y/n: oh my god(these are his thoughts)

It was a girl. She had wood armor, similar to what I had in ship form. Attached her wrists rested 2 small, rusted cannons. Next to her laid a broken mast, the sail torn to shreds.

Me: she was a good women

I looked seeing the strange me kneeling on the bottom of the ocean, looking at the girl.

Me: best first mate a captain could ask for

He looked at me.

Me: look around, and tell me. What do you see?

I did just that and my eyes widened.

It was a graveyard. But not for people, but for ships. Broken ships of all sizes laid at the bottom of the ocean.

I was about to swim up before something caught me eye. Light.

I swam towards it, seeing a rusty lantern somehow still lit. Next to it laid a small journal. I grabbed it, looking it over.

But then I swam up, and I took a deep breath of air in.

Then I swam to my ship, climbing on and sitting on the edge.

I looked the journal over, and somehow it had remained dry.

So I opened it. There were a few logs, but the first one explained it all.

Deathbringer Log entry #1

My name is Omar L/n. I have just started my journey as a pirate captain. Under normal circumstances, I shouldn't be a captain, not even a second mate. But, we had to do it quickly.
We had been attacked by strange beings, they call themselves sirens. We one, but at a cost.
To stop these "sirens" pirate captains all over the Atlantic and pacific banded together. We will fight back, even if it kills us.
We will fight. We will kill.
And when we win, we shall pass these stories down. A dead man tells no tales. So we shall not be dead men.

I started flipping through the pages, discovering so much shit. They discover mental cubes from killing sirens, and used it to create the first ship girls in history.

Yet, the books say nothing.

???: do you think we would've let that get out to people?

I looked, seeing the man, who I now knew was named Omar. And he was family.

Omar: if you think we would've let something like that get out, then you're sorely mistaken

Y/n: but your logs-

Omar: it's mostly bullshit, just in case people actually did find out wreck
. A few parts are true, but no storm killed us. The sirens did
!
I nodded.

Y/n: so that's why the golden age of pirate happened, didn't it. You were powerful because you needed to fight the sirens

Omar: bingo

Y/n: so how are you here?

He shrugged.

Omar: my soul connected to my ship, that's all I can say

Y/n: so, how am I alive

Omar: I connected our souls. I also forced the mental cubes to react and luckily, it actually worked

I once again nodded.

Y/n: and you're apparently family. Heh, the more you know

Then I heard a soft voice from below.

???: commander?

I looked down, seeing Laffey and Javelin.

Y/n: uh, hey guys. What are you two doing out here?

Javelin; we say you take off and we're curious where you were going. So we found Mathew and he told us you would be here!

I nodded.

Y/n: come on aboard then

I stood up, yawning. I'm tired.

I looked over, seeing Omar no longer there.

Once they got on board, I told them what I was gonna do.

Y/n: imma set sail back to Azur lane soon. Just rest for now

Laffey then collapsed on the deck.

Laffey: ok

Javelin: Laffey, not there!

I chuckled before picking up the shirt girl and bringing her to my quarters.

I placed her on my bed, putting a blanket over her.

Then I exited.

Javelin: what were you doing out here?

Y/n: it's not important. All you need to know is I found out a lot more about everything that has happened

She nodded.

I then turned, vaulting myself up to the wheel and turning my ship.

Y/n: raise the anchor Javelin!

Javelin: alright Y/n!
