A/N:

I'm pretty glad I got time to write so here. By the way if you're my readers from my past Byul fanfics, then maybe you'll notice I changed the book covers. The reason only Moon Byul is in Moon Star's cover despite having Xiu Min as the male lead is because Moon Star is a special fanfic for me, the beginning of people acknowledging my writing and so I made it a bit similar to the old one, consider it as a dark mode of the previous one lmao. Hopefully all of them looks decent enough? Do let me know if it's lame sksksksk.

As always, excuse me if you notice any wrong spellings, or grammar.

But by now you're probably used to it kssksksksk.

Main P.O.V.

"Isn't it weird?"

Yooa turned around from her bed, gasping to see Dowoon leaning on her door. He looked serious; his brows firmly furrowed with her eyes staring down on the floor.

"Yah! You scared me!" The girl with her hair down almost stumbled when she heard his low toned voice. But Dowoon just sighed in response.

"What's weird?" Yooa asked, caressing her chest.

"Everything." Dowoon replied, crossing his arms.

It has already been an hour since they arrived, and under Mr Kim's orders they were asked to take a shower and change into warmer clothes. Then they can get some rest in their individual rooms, that were all located in the same floor- the second floor. As expected, the rooms were no joke. Unlike the soft tone decorating the outsides of the villa, the insides were dark red, with golden flower patterns on the walls. Since it was a rented villa, there was not much decorations to it, but it still looked fabulous. They all had single beds, air conditioner, and guess what, even a TV!

And that is exactly why Dowoon think it's weird.

"This is not a normal place for high school students to go camping." He explained his thoughts. "Even for Soar High, it's still not acceptable- unless we're the top students.  If we were really going to join the locals, then why are we so high up at a mountainside? I've looked around here, and the small road we took to get here is the only way in and out. And have you noticed? There's no single connection here, for both internet and phone calls. Plus, those TV's have no channels at all."

Yooa's eyebrows furrowed. "Wait, what? No channels?"

She rushed over to the small table beside the TV, reaching for the remote control and turning the large TV on. After a few trials, she finally realized what Dowoon was trying to say.

"You get what I mean now, Yooa?" Dowoon sighed, as he met Yooa's trembling eyes.

She nodded.

"If anything happens to us up here..."

"No one will even know."

There was a deafening silence that swallowed their presence as their eyes met, their heart beating fast because they knew that it meant more than just that.

Every single thing that occurred to them up until this very moment, seemed carefully planned.

From stealing a document that was just another lead to another mission, to the endless search for the infamous 'blackbird' that is still anonymous until now. With their names in the camp and their friends all close, it certainly wasn't a coincidence.

But it was so well planned that normal people wouldn't suspect a thing.

Just what the heck is going on?
