Chapter 11

Dad?

( can't believe I'm one chapter 11 alreadyyy ahh I started this just to waste time and now I can't stoppp helpppp)

7:49am

I got up early to clean this disgusting house, probably not my best idea to do so early but fuck it

My dad never came back last night and from the looks of it, it seems like he was never home in the last couple days.

"Where do I start" I ask myself looking at the living room filled with empty beer cans, old food, cigarette butts and much more disgustingness

11:03am

After endless amount of hours I was finally satisfied.
It was a lot faster then I thought, the sun shined thru the bay window from the living room bouncing off the light grey walls.
Our walls never had anything on them, after my mom passed he took all our 'family' pictures down.

*ring ring*

I walked over to the red house phone propped onto the wall,

"Hello?" I say waiting for a response

"Kaylenn?" I hear my dad say on the other side.
(I'm not spelling my name right Incase someone I know finds this book🙈)

"Dad" I ask in a worried tone

"Hey baby girl..um I'm gunna be gone for a bit..and I need you to be strong and watch the house" he  said in a rushed tone...he sounded sober.
"Ok?" He adds

"I-uh- h-how long you gunna be gone for?" I ask panicking and confused

"7 months if I focus on just doing my time and getting ou-" I cut him off

"TIME? dad are you in JAIL?!" I practically yell

"Look baby it's only for a bit I'll be home before you know it ok? There's money in my room on top the closet make it last. You'll be fine"
He says trying to calm me down.

It starts getting hard to breath

Fuck

"Baby girl you there?" He asked softly, concerned

The sound of his voice calmed me down a bit.

"Yes...dad I'm here"

"Ok I gotta go but I'll call you whenever I get the chance to! Ok baby girl?" He says

"Ok" is all I could get out trying to process all of this.

"I love you"

"Love you too"

*end of call*

I slide my back down the wall with tears streaming down my face

I'm 15 how am I supposed to live my byself

Jail??!

I just lost my only family member to jail.

I don't even know why he's in there I totally forgot to ask.
