THEY WALKED to the quarry. The spot now blocked off with a sign that said:

NO JUMPING
OR
DIVING
AT
ANY TIME

They climbed over anyway, taking their shoes and jackets off.

Bev went first like last time, except without m/n.

They swam around getting themselves clean. Richie sat in despair.

Richie wiped his glasses, which were coated in m/n's blood.

"This would have been way more funner if M/n were here." Ben sighed.

"Yeah.. he always made it better." Bill smiled.

"He was that guy, always knew when to cheer someone up, even thought he was clearly hurting inside." Bev looked down into the water.

"Yeah, he made us laugh.."

"Oh yeah." Bev smiled.

"He was a wild one.." Eddie sat down next to Richie.

"He'd be keeping us together, like he always was."

"The glue of the group." Mike nodded.

"Ain't that right, Richie?" Bill looked at Richie. Who was crying silently.

"Hey." Everyone gathered around him, giving him a group hug. But it didn't feel the same.

Everyone's eyes were red, starting to tear up, but they stayed strong.

"Oh.. thank you.. I don't have my glasses so I don't know who you people are, but thank you.."

Everyone laughed.

"I legit can't find my glasses."

"Are you serious?"

"Uh, ok."
"Around here somewhere?"

Everyone dove under water, trying to look for his glasses.

"Anybody have any luck?"

Bill looked back, seeing no one. He only stared, and let out a chuckle, glancing at Eddie who shrugged.

They walked downtown, their clothes now dry. The place empty.

"Hey guys, look." Bev looked at her hand, showing the rest of them her non-existent scar.

Everyone looked at their hand, seeing it was gone from theirs too.

"Nothing last forever.." Mike sighed.

Everyone looked up at their reflections in the window in front of them. Seeing themselves as kid, even Stanley and M/n.

"I can't go home like this guys." Eddie gulped, only thinking what his mom would do.
