She laid in the entrance area on a couch near the fireplace so she wouldn't get colder than she already was. Lambert only put her down and quickly grabbed a blanket and threw it over her. The next move he did was to look for Geralt since it was his friend or more than that, Lambert quickly understood that, and Vesemir maybe knew what happened to her.
He ran towards the training ground, the yard and saw Vesemir sitting on a bench, probably waiting for Evelyn. "Vesemir!" He called for the older Witcher who looked annoyed because of Evelyn not being present. Said man got up and walked over to Lambert, it seemed urgent. He explained the situation and Vesemirs eyes widened. He rushed inside the room where Evelyn was and now he would start to look for Geralt.
He in the meanwhile was brushing Roach and would do the same with Amber afterwards. The fur on both of them got thicker and would keep them warm. He heard footsteps storming in his direction. "Hm." he grunted and stopped brushing. Lambert stood at the entrance of the stable and looked at Geralt. "Your friend in there passed out." he blankly stated and Geralt blinked twice, he didn't understand. Slowly he walked towards Lambert and put the brush for the horses in his hands and then made his way inside.
Evelyns breath was low, her face white as the snow outside and you could see almost every vein on her face. She looked like she got poisoned. Geralt slammed the door open what didn't surprise Vesemir. "What happened?" he growled and rushed over at them to examine his lover. His expression fell. Vesemir couldn't explain it to himself and thought that she may have breathed toxic air - the locker room was full of pops mold, which is, in fact, toxic.

My eyes were closed but I could hear everything and especially feel everything, all the pain. Gods, I almost thought that I'd die but death won't get me that easily. I heard Geralt's voice and I wanted to open my eyes. It was hard but with all the strength I had, I was able to.

Evelyn's eyes fluttered open and her face got its colour back and so the veins disappeared. Her eyes weren't the same shade of grey and blue she had before, it was now a golden shade like Geralt, Lambert, Eskel and Vesemir all had. Not only had her eyes that in common but the pupils had now the form as a cat had. Geralt and Vesemir looked at her in shock. She got the Witchers eyes. "Impossible." Vesemir mumbled. Evelyn sat up and held her head as it was throbbing in pain.

"Ugh... What happened?" I asked and looked at my surroundings. I could hear and smell much better than I did before. I could see details I never noticed. What the fuck happened to me? Vesemir was in pure shock and so was Geralt. Again, what the fuck? The Witchers, except Geralt, left, for me to get back to my senses. "What did you do?" Geralt asked and I sighed and simply put my head on his shoulder.
Vesemir quickly got back after around half an hour and went over to the fireplace. On top of it was a candle which he brought over to me. "Try snipping and with that igniting the candle." I rolled my eyes. "How in the world is this supposed to work, Vesemir? I'm no Witcher like you guys." I groaned but Vesemir insisted.
"It's not gonna work, trust me." I sighed and did as he told me, I snipped and tried to ignite the candle with it. The candle ignited. I backed away from it as I got scared of what I just did. "G-Geralt, please tell me, you did that." I stuttered in fear and I'm on the edge of becoming insane. Geralt shook his head and I thought I'd pass out another time. "How the fuck did I do that then?" I yelled in frustration and fear and pointed at the candle. I grabbed my one hand with the other, afraid of doing it again.
"Seems like the serum inside the machine hasn't expired yet." he mumbled and it drove me crazy. "For fucks sake, Vesemir, spit it out!" Without hesitation, he fulfilled my wish. "You're a Witcher now, Evelyn." I fell to my knees unable to process what he just said. Me, a Witcher? I exhaled and buried my head in my hands. "You can't be serious."
"Seems like you're your exam will be postponed. You need to learn how to use the spells and about the alchemy." I remember Geralt telling me about alchemy during our journey. He showed me the most simple things like oils and bombs for monsters. The potions he refused to teach me about, because they're deadly to normal, not mutated humans but now that I am myself a mutant, that's something different.
For the following week, I was almost unapproachable. Only Geralt was able to come near me or talk to me. I was shocked and afraid of myself. Geralt got orders from Vesemir, he told me that but he also said that he does this for me, so I could learn about myself, of what I am now. "Look, almost nothing changed. You'll be still killing monsters but now you have the advantage of using signs and taking potions." He tried to cheer me up. He did that all week and I must admit it worked a little. I tried my best to get used to my new abilities but it was all so new yet so known.
"You're right, now I'm able to do the same things with you until we get old. Well... technically you're already old but, you know what I mean." I chuckled lightly and he smiled at that. "Good part is, the fortune teller wasn't right. Now that I'm infertile I can't have a child." I smiled to myself and crossed my arms. "I don't know how the serum affects women but I suppose, yes."
"Now, try it. Try to use Yrden." he changed the subject. Yrden was a hard one for me. It was the only sign I haven't managed to control yet but I guess sooner or later I'll be able to control it just like the other signs.
