We were sitting around a table playing cards and being adults. Y'all know the vibes.

Landon scoffs. "I'll be damned. They gon' be at Saint Josephine Christian Academy come Monday morning." (chile this the most private school-est name i could think of 😭)

"Nigga, it's gonna be closed because of COVID.", I tell him.

He retorts, "COVID can suck the lotion off my kneecap, fuck outta here.", making us all laugh.

His laughter immediately stops as he mugs his wife.

Mike adds, "She ain't lying, though. We've been bro's for over 30 years and I haven't seen you moisturize but twice. Those times being our weddings."

"Y'all not finna be jumping on my bestfriend like that.", Ley intervenes, making sure to roll her neck. "We'll beat the shit outta all of y'all, no cap."

Mike sighs and tells Ley, "Just deal the cards, man. Goddamn, you always talking."

"You literally ain't have to say all of that, but okay.", she responds and starts dealing the cards.

Emoni gives her a weird look. "You good?"

Once I'm done, I turn to MicMic. "I needa talk to you right quick."

He nods and we excuse ourselves from the table.

Going into our room, I close and lock the doors.

"So, what's up?", MicMic asks me, sitting on the bed.

"Umm," I clear my throat, "You know how we are still active, right?"

Nodding, he answers, "At least once a day. Yeah."

"Good, and we don't use protection, right?"

He nods again. "Because we're only fucking on each other. Yeah."

"I'ma just gon' say it.", I mumble. "I think I'm pregnant again."
