^ I don't know about you, but I can imagine this happening

Btw I'm gonna try to update daily, but we'll see how long my motivation lasts XD

Catra's POV

Adora pulled me over to a table with food. The last time I had seen this many types of things to put in my mouth was at Princess Prom, but when I was there, I was so focused on my mission I hardly paid attention to what was offered.

Adora took a plate with a triangular-shaped thing on it. She held it out to me, but I hesitated to take it.

"What is that?" I asked, sceptical.

"It's cake! Come on, take a bite!" she uttered.

"No!" I squealed, trying to get away, but she caught me by the tail. She spun me around, and shoved a spoonful of the stuff into my mouth.

"Chew!" she ordered.

I shook my head.

"Oh, come on, Catra! You'll like it, I promise!"

I narrowed my eyes at her, but I did as she said. I chewed on the food, and my eyes lit up as the taste sunk in.

"Whoa," I breathed.

Adora laughed triumphantly. "I knew you'd like it!"

"What?!" Bow shrieked, sliding over to us. "You let Catra try her first piece of cake without me?!"

Adora giggled. "Sorry—I forgot you wanted to watch."

"Hey! I'm not some kind of caged animal for you to gawk at!" I protested, but I continued eating the dessert. "If we're gonna be leaving soon, we should just take the rest of this—"

Adora pulled my hands away before I could steal the rest of the giant cake. "Don't worry; we packed plenty of good food on the ship."

Suddenly, the music playing in the room started to get slower. Glimmer teleported over to us, grabbed Bow, and brought him to the dance floor. With a smile, I turned to Adora, and held out my hand. She took it, and I pulled her in close to me.

"Catra—the dance floor is over there," she said, gesturing with a nod of her head.

"I know," I replied as we swayed to the music. "But I've got something better in mind."

I twirled her around and dipped her, then I scooped her up. Adora was taller than me, and she was the stronger of the two of us, but that didn't mean I couldn't hold her in my arms.

"Put me down!" she protested.

"Nope!" I argued, then carried her out the side doors to the balcony. I set her down gently once we were outside.

The light was fading, and I assumed that meant we wouldn't be taking off until tomorrow. I was okay with that, if it meant I got to spend one more night with Adora under the beautiful sky before we'd be soaring through it.

"The stars are out," Adora whispered, holding my hand. "Do you remember when we were in the Horde, we would climb up onto the roof and stare at the sky?"

"Yeah," I mumbled. "But it wasn't nearly as pretty then as it is now."

We were silent for a few moments, just enjoying the view and each other's company as we sat on the wide railing bordering the balcony.

"So... um..." Adora started shyly. "About what you said... in the heart..."

I felt myself blush. I knew this was coming—we hadn't talked about that moment since it happened.

"I meant it," I said, a wave of confidence overcoming me. This was the one thing that I was absolutely certain about. "I love you. I always have... and I always will."

Adora looked at me with tears in her eyes. She reached up to touch my face, as if making sure I was really there.

"I love you, too," she whispered. "You matter more to me than anything else."

I moved in closer to her, and she kissed me. I held my hands at her waist, and she wrapped hers around my neck. Suddenly, though, I saw a flash of light, even though my eyes were closed.

"Did you... did you just turn into She-Ra again?" I asked quietly, without opening my eyes.

"Yeah..." Adora muttered sheepishly.

I looked up at her. "Is this gonna happen every time we kiss?"

"Uh... maybe..." Adora said, rubbing the back of her neck. "Sorry."

I shrugged, then stood up. I jumped into her lap and gave her another kiss.

"I'm sure I'll get used to it."
