Blame It On Me

Chapter 2

"Would you consider coming to LA this Friday?" I pause "my friends just moved here and they're having a house warming party but they don't know anybody, so if you could maybe swing by-"

"No problem" Cameron said right away

"We'd love to" Zach added

I smile at them and jump a little. I couldn't wait for my friends to meet one of my favorite bands and friends.

"What are you wearing tonight?" Nick asks me

"This" I say walking out of the bathroom

I wore a maxi/peplum dress that was a soft pink with gold detail. Nick looked at me and smiled.

"Too much?" I laugh

He simply nods and I see him in a casual jean button up and khaki pants. I go back in the bathroom checking out my few options since I didn't have time to pack much. I ended up picking a simpler maxi dress with stripes, and sandals.

"You're so beautiful" he said seeing me once more.

"Oh please" I blush as we wraps his arms around me

He grabs my chin and says "no one ever looked so good in a dress babe"

I give him a quick kiss and move away from his embrace to grab my purse.

"C'mon we're gonna be late!"

"Are the guys meeting us there?"

"Yeah I texted them the address so hopefully they won't get lost"

I was surprised to get there and see then Michael was already outside on the phone. He waves and hangs up his phone walking towards us.

"Hey" I say hugging him real quick

"Hi, I'm just waiting for Zach and Cameron to get here"

"Oh ok, want us to wait too?"

"Nah they're around to corner so we'll meet you inside" he smiled

"Awesome"

I grab Nicks hand and we head over the entrance of their small town home. Laura opens the door still not use to Nick she blushes as we both hug her and then I see Valerie coming over from the kitchen as well.

"HEYYY so happy you guys made it!" she said hugging us tightly

"Where are Gen and Estefania?" I ask looking around at their open floor plan.

"Probably out back" Laura says "well come on in, look around, I expect y'all will be visiting us all the time when you're in town"

I look up at Nick and he smiles "you guys are welcome at our place as well back in New York"

"We'll totally take you up on that!" Laura said walking us over to the living room

"And your friends?" Val asks

I point behind me about to talk when there's a knock on the door "I bet that's them"

They motion me to go open the door, so I do and there were Zach, Michael, and Cameron looking very confused yet perfect. I move to the side I greet them in and one by one stand awkwardly in the foyer.

"Sooo, thanks for coming again!" I walk them over to the living room

"Happy to be here" Zach said in his low voice

They were all settled in talking when I reached the room and grunted to catch everyone's attention.

Right away I noticed my friends body language change and Laura fix her hair as she made quick eye contact with.. oh my god Cameron.

"Come meet my friends from the band I told y'all about" I motion them to stand up "it's Zach, Cameron, and Michael" I point them out

I stepped aside and let them chat. Nick sat back down and I passed by him when I saw there was a back door so I thought i'd step outside to look for my sister. Finding nothing outside but a chair and some plants I step back in and when I reached Nick he poked my side and it made me look over to my group of friends meeting. Right away I could see that they would get along and as Laura and Cameron hugged I noticed Lauras hand linger on his arm but only for a brief second; Camm then smiled at the ground. Then looking at Val she seemed to be laughing for some reason and holding Zachs hand?

I looked at Nick and he was as confused as me. So we went over to them and Michael couldn't stop laughing.

"What happened?" I asked

"I stepped on her foot" Zach said still holding her hand which was clearly for support as Valerie stood on one foot.

"Oh ok, I thought it was something else" I took a deep breath "anyways I need to go look for my sister now, where are the rooms?"

"The wait is over. I'm here"

I turn around and see my sister walk into the room, her eyes going straight to Zach and was it just me or was he looking at her too? Oh no.
