Chapter 16

HOGWARTS, ASTRONOMY TOWER

Draco: I- Potter?

Harry: Draco? What are you doing here?

Draco wipes his tears on his sleeve.

Draco: What are you- why are you here?

Harry: I... I come here to think. So- um, why are you here then?

Draco: Actually- I should get going...

Harry sticks out his hand to stop Draco from leaving.

Harry: I'm not letting you leave until you tell me why you're not going to the dance with me.

Draco: Move out of the way.

Harry: No. Not until you tell me.

Draco sighs.

Draco: I'm sorry.... Stupefy!

Harry dodges away.

Harry: Expelliarmus!

Draco only just managed to jump out of the way.

Draco: Rictusempra!

Harry got out of the way in time.

Harry (without thinking): Sectumsepra!

Draco was hit with the curse. He fell on the floor, blood pouring out of his chest.

HOGWARTS, HOSPITAL WING

Harry rushes into the Hospital Wing.

Harry: Madam Pomfrey? I need your help, it's really bad.

Madam Pomfrey had just finished giving another Hogwarts student medicine.

Madam Pomfrey: An injury? At this time of the night? (She sees Draco in Harry's arms) Oh my! Quickly, over here.

Madam Pomfrey points at a bed, Harry lays Draco on it.

Madam Pomfrey: He's going to have to stay for a few nights but he'll be alright. Run along, now, he needs full recovery.

Harry glanced back at Draco with a worried look before leaving hesitantly.

NEXT MORNING, GREAT HALL

Pansy: Have you seen Draco? Is he still sleeping? I can't find him.

Blaise: He wasn't in bed when I woke up.

Pansy's Thoughts: That's strange...

Pansy: He wasn't at the common room last night either, I was there up until 12am and he still didn't come.

Pansy looked up from her food and saw Harry. He looked more tired than usual. His eyes were red and he had eye bags.
