After about a week and a half of torturous boredom, I was finally healed and ready to make a terrible decision. Confronting Lee. When you think about it, it's his fault it got exploded in the first place. None of that would have happened if he didn't knock me over.

I also may not have kissed Lafayette that day, but that's not the point.

I made it to his tent and just walked in. "What up, LEE?!" I shouted.

The person inside shrieked and dropped the book he was reading. He was a bald guy with darker skin and definitely not Lee.

"Oh man, I am so sorry," I said. "I thought you were Charles Lee, and I hate that guy, and I was going to yell at him, but you're clearly not him and I'm rambling now. Sorry."

Heat rushed to my cheeks and I looked at the ground. That rock looks really cool. I might have to steal that on my way out.

"That's quite alright...miss...? Wait you're a woman?!" He stared at me in shock disbelief. I gave him a look and he snapped out of it.

He cleared his throat. "My apologies. I didn't mean to offend you; I just didn't think I would see a woman soldier. Nice to see at least one woman who thinks that way."

I shrugged. "Can't let the boys have all the fun, Mr...?"

"Aaron Burr." He offered me his hand and I shook it.

"Nice to meet you, Aaron. I'm Y/N Washington. And as nice as meeting you was, I'm on a mission. Would you happen to know where Charles Lee is?"

Before Aaron could tell me anything, Lee walked in.

"Burr!" he exclaimed. Aaron and I both rolled our eyes. I decided to stay quiet until he noticed me.

"What is it Lee?" Aaron said.

"You won't believe what just happened. On my way here I passed by John Laurens and his friends, and the buff one threatened me!"

Aaron and I just looked at him.

"Really? You're telling me that Hercules Mulligan threatened you for walking? That sounds more like a Hamilton thing to do," Aaron said with his arms crossed.

Lee rubbed the back of his neck and moved his gaze to the ground. "Okay well not exactly. He just glared at me."

I started laughing and both men turned to me in surprise.

"You're scared of Hercules!" I wheezed, standing up straight.

Lee looked mildly afraid. "When did you get here?!"

"That's not important. But you need to do me a favor," I said.

He scoffed. "And what would that be?"

"Stop running away from battles. You're going to get a lot of people killed that way if you haven't already. If you're that much of a coward, just go home."

Lee furrowed his brow in anger and got in my face. I'm honestly surprised his hot breath didn't melt my eyebrows.

"No woman is going to tell me what to do," he hissed.

I slapped him across the face. "This one just did." I spun on my heel and started to walk away but he grabbed my hair and pulled me back.

Just as I was about to take Madison's advice and kick him in the balls, Burr pinched his neck until he let go.

"Charles, are you stupid? You can't assault a woman, even if she did hit you first. And do you really need the trouble with Washington right now?"
