Eversince the interesting turn of events at my mom's house, things have started to cool down. My mom and siblings would make constant appearances at my house, visiting me Troy and Victoria. Luckily, Victoria forgave my mom for abandoning me and they actually got along. Today I was going to my mom's house with Troy so we could have an outdoor lunch.

"Hey darling how far are you?"
"I'm five minutes out mom what's up?"
"I was just checking on you, I'll start bringing out the food so that by the time you arrive everything is set alright?"
"Okay mom see you in a few" I said before I heard commtion over the phone "Mom, is everything okay" she didn't respond but I did hear Dorothy's voice
"You will pay for shooting my father, you and your looser family"

As soon as I heard that I sped towards the house. As I arrived I saw a black Mercedes SUV parked in the driveway, my heat skipped a beat as I looked at Victoria
"Wait for me here, I'll come fetch you guys when it's safe"
"Damian what is a 12 year-old girl capable of?" Victoria shrugged not as worried as I was
"Just about the same as her father maybe, there's a reason why she was sent to a military school, just wait or me here okay?"
"Fine." she said as I got out of the car, gun in hand getting ready for whatever was waiting for me behind those doors

As I entered I found the house empty, but all the commotion was coming from outside. I rushed to the other side of the house before I found Dorothy pointing a knife to my mother's neck who was backed up against the wall

"DOROTHY, don't do this. This isn't you."
"Saviour of the day oh my word I'm so scared, if this isn't me then who is it? You know what, let me tell you; I am a girl who is going to slit your mother's throat." she said as she got closer to my mom, I turned the safety off on my gun
"Dorothy, you don't bring a knife to a gun fight, I thought your father would've taught you this." I said as I pressed the barrel against her head
"Goshdamn, I-I-I'm sorry, please just don't shoot me." She said as she put the knife down
"I feel like I should though, I mean why not right?"
"Right" someone said as they pressed a cold barrel against my head
"DAISY, WHAT THE F**K?!"
"Well Damian that's my sister that you're going to shoot, I might as well do the same"
"Do you even know how to use that thing?"
"Yes, unlike her I took our father's lessons seriously. He said if someone threatened your sister with a basic 9mm, bring out the double barrel shotgun. See if you shoot her she still has a chance of surviving but if I decided to shoot you, you are more likely to splatter all over the floor. With that being said, let her go." She said as I pointed my gun upwards, Dororthy ran passed me as she grabbed Daisy
"You all will pay for what you've done to our father, this isn't the last time you'll be seeing us." they said as they got into the black SUV before it sped out of the gate

"I'm tired of this drama." Duncan said as he went to open the doors for Victoria and Troy
"Me too, we need to make sure that the next time they come around they don't leave." I said as I picked up my son
"Yea sure, plot your ambush some other time, can we go have lunch now?"
"Yes please, I'm starving!" Victoria said as she followed my mom back into the house

Tom's POV

Life has surely improved eversince me and Damian let bygones be bygones. I managed to move out of my friends place and into my own townhouse up north while driving my beautiful Toyota. Initially I wanted to officially be with Damian, but considering the recent loss that he has suffered I didn't want to pressurize him. Today I was meeting Kelly for lunch, she told me she had come to realize her mistakes and she needed to iron it all out. I was now seated at a resturant in the mall waiting for her arrival.
