Sunshine [Ray x OC][Indefinite Hiatus]

Chapter 6

Sunshine's POV

As Ray walked out of the library, I continued to look at the darkening skies as I recall the events in the anime.

Hmm, let's see. . . Judging by the time Ray walked out of the library, I assume he will peek through the windows to observe Emma, Norman and Mama. And by then, Norman and Emma must've known that there are transmitters in our body, and they know Mama has a tracking device.

Hearing a thunderclap, I heaved a sigh before walking out of the library and making my way to the kitchen to prepare for dinner. As I am about to walk in the kitchen, I bumped into Mama, who is making her way outside the kitchen.

"Oh, I'm sorry, Mama." I apologize to her, earning a small smile and pat to the head.

"It's okay, Sunshine. Do you wish to help prepare for dinner?" she asked.

"Yes, if you don't mind, Mama." I joked.

"Of course, You know the way in the kitchen. I'll just get something. I'll be back." she said before disappearing in the hallways. I tilt my head in confusion before realizing where she is heading.

She will confront Emma and Norman. Then Ray will interrupt them, calling them for dinner.

Walking inside, I look around hoping to see the raven-haired person, but I didn't see him. I sighed before making my way to the kitchen and helping Gilda prepare a soup.

Sinking in the fact that Ray's not here when he said that he got everything.

He's sneaking on them, waiting to interrupt their conversation!

I mentally facepalm myself, not realizing it until now. Gilda nudged me, removing me from my inner thoughts.

"Hey, Sunshine. You okay?" she asked me as she gather the plates needed to be set later.

"Yeah." I nodded at him before hearing a familiar bell, signalling that its dinner time and the time that Ray interrupted their conversation. Smaller kids entered the kitchen t bring the plates and the cups to the table. I followed them, also carrying a set of plates and smiling at Mama who is about to enter with her hand in her pocket.

As we sit down and wait for Mama's lead to pray, I sneak a glance at Emma and Norman, who is smiling, though they can't hide the terror in their eyes.

I mean, who won't be scared the life out of them when you meet a cunning woman like Mama Isabella?

"Thank you for the food!"

I woke up due to a sudden creak of the door. I opened my eyes and wait for my eyes to adjust to the darkness. I squint my eyes at the door, seeing Norman walk out of the door before shutting it quietly as possible.

I heard a sigh beside me. Looking at Ray, I saw him perched up on his elbow while looking at the direction of the door.

"You know," Ray starts, "I am worried about them."

"Well, you should be. After all, you sold them out to Mama." I retort before closing my eyes, travelling to Dreamland.
