١ ] oh moon, love, life!
• • •
ya qamar,
spare me the glance
of your magnificent beauty
I've wavered too much
on the tides you've caused
and dreamt too much
in your alluring light
ya habibti,
to the flowers that bloomed
in different gardens
but were meant to unite
before their glorious death
there is always hope
to be tied together
in the same bouquet
to die on the same day
ya hayati,
on my quest for the truth
if I find you amidst the pages
don't ask me to shut the book
let me read for a little longer
look in between the lines
explore a little more
behinds the meanings
for an explanation
on your silence.
