there are a million
earthquakes in my voice
droughts in my heart
tsunamis in my eyes
the barren lands
struggling to keep
each other alive
and then you say
"I am not a poet
nor am I as good
with words as you are
but I am someone
who loves, and
I've heard it's about
the same thing."
suddenly it feels like
you are the home
of my answered du'as
