1 Day Before Sophie's 16th Birthday, 3 days before Valentine's Day
"So let me get this clear," I began, "You, Fitz Vacker, MY COUSIN, hooked up with my best friend?"
Fitz nodded, "Well, we're only Valentines. It's nothing huge."
"Well, you better buy her a gift and spoil her rotten tomorrow." I told him, throwing a grape into the air and catching it in my mouth.
"Why tomorrow, of all days?" Fairen asked, eating her Doritos.
"It's her 16th Birthday," I explained, "Her parents set up this whole big thing for her 'Sweet 16'. It's going to be EPIC."
"What does she like? What should I buy her?"
"Woah woah woah, slow it with the questions, Fitzy," I popped another grape into my mouth, "She's a nerd, so get her a Barnes and Nobles gift card or something. No clothes unless its a nerdy Marvel sweatshirt."
"Marvel isn't for nerds," Fairen insisted, "I'm no nerd. I like Marvel."
"Which means you, Fairen Vacker, are a nerd." I declared, quoting Stranger Things. Fairen looked insulted.
"While Fitzy is out buying a gift for his girlfriend-" -Fitz gave Fairen 'the look'- "-I mean, his Valentine, let's do something else."
"Like what?" I asked as Fitz left the room.
"We can prank call McDonalds!" Fairen suggested.
I laughed and nodded. "We can play the Vegan Song!"
Fairen nodded rapidly and called McDonalds and I got the song ready.
"Hello, Welcome to McDonalds, how may I help you?"
"1, 2, 3, sing!" The song played, "Eating animals is wrong(McDonalds), hurting animals is wrong(McDonalds), share this songggggg! And change your entire menu to be vegan from now onnnnnnn!"
We hung up and nearly died from laughter. Then Fairen yawned. Then I did as well.
I put on the Simpsons and feel asleep watching that, exhausted from the night before.
