Chapter 13- Raging Fear

As soon as training had ended, Raph left the dojo as quickly as he could.

He needed to get some fresh air.

His mind was practically screaming, different thoughts coming in and out faster than he could process them.

But there was one that stuck.

I don't like guys.... right?

Raph ran across the rooftops, slowly calming himself down.

But... it would explain some things.

Raph shook his head, slowing to a stop to admire the city lights.

How you always get flustered around him.

Raph sat down on the edge, letting out a shaky sigh.

But that isn't normal... that's not natural.

It's wrong

"Hey... are you alright?"

The red-masked turtle whipped around.

(M/N) stood there, shuffling nervously as he looked down at Raph.

"I'm fine."

Raph winced at how much harsher his words had come out. But maybe it was for the best. If (M/N) was really the source of... those... thoughts.

He should keep his distance.

"Sorry I was just... worried about you. Can I sit down?"

Raph slowly nodded, watching silently as (M/N) took a seat beside him, staring down at the streets below them.

After a few minutes of tense silence, (M/N) once again spoke up.

"Do you want to talk about it?"

Raph let out a heavy sigh, not looking up to meet the boy's (E/C) eyes.

"It's just... I've been... having these thoughts. Things I probably shouldn't be having."

(M/N) raised an eyebrow, but gestured for Raph to continue.

"About..."

He glanced up at (M/N) for a split second.

"...About guys in general."

(M/N) nodded slowly, trying to piece together this information.

"Like... how?"

Raph gulped, building up the courage to say out loud the words he dreaded to say.

"Like... in the way I'd think about girls."

After an excruciating few seconds of silence,

"Oh. So... you're gay? Or at the very least into guys."

The sentence made Raph's blood run cold.

To hear it so... bluntly... it was too much.

"No. I can't be. I'm not."

(M/N) shivered at how low the turtle's voice had gotten.

"Hey, Raph... it's ok if you are. There's nothing wrong with it."

"No I'm not. I can't be... gay.."

(M/N) rolled his eyes, but smiled gently.

"You aren't alone... it's funny actually... I also like guys."

Raph turned to him, and the sudden anger in his eyes made (M/N) instinctively back up.

"What the hell?! Why... what... get the fuck away from me!"

(M/N) jumped up, taken aback by this sudden turn.

"Raph what-"

"Fuck off! You're disgusting, you're... you're wrong!"

(M/N) backed up more, until his back was against the wall of another rooftop.

The two stared at each other for a moment, Raph's sudden anger quickly dissipating and turning into regret.

(M/N)'s figure slightly trembled, the fear and hurt evident on his face.

Neither of them said a word.

(M/N) turned and quickly ran back in the direction of the lair.

Leaving Raph alone with his thoughts.

Holyyyyyy shitttttt I hope I wrote this well, since its sort of a heavy topic. Anyway, don't worry, they'll sort this mess out soon. Not too soon tho cuz we love angst in this household 😌✌️
