The next day, an article of Sajangnim and me dating surfaced. We both laughed it off. Really? Hindi kami nagpahayag ng kumento roon since people did not buy the issue.

Nag-aya kinagabihan si Soohyun na maghangout sa isang pub. Pumayag naman ako kahit na ginugulo pa rin ako ng mga sinabi ni Sajangnim. Nahihiya man akong magtanong sa kanya how things are working for him-or for them but I kept it to myself nalang.

Ako ba ang rason?

I think Soohyun needed a friend right now so I went to the meeting place to somehow console him. I don't want to assume things without hearing truths.

Pero sa gabing iyon, he did not mention anything to me. He looks very happy, worry-free. Is it because he's an actor?

Or... no way, they already broke up?
Wanting him to be preoccupied, I told him the story of how I thought or almost killed my sister during our hike.

"You mom's an OG," he says as he burst out laughing, "I can't wait to meet your mum."

Matagal bago ako nakabawi roon, mabuti nalang at agad niyang sinegway iyong pagbobowling at pagpasok niya sa military service.

"I want to go back to Wonju," sabi niya nang nakatingin sa kawalan. He's pertaining to the Suspension Bridge--one of our shooting locations.

"Gusto ko rin," ngumiti ako. That's where our selfies on the drama are filmed.

"Can we go back there? Kapag okay na ang lahat, kapag hindi na busy..."

"I'd love to."

Hinatid ako ni Soohyun sa bahay, I had fun. I really did. I came to think, what if I suppressed this feeling? Siguro hanggang ngayon, praning pa rin ako ng bongga. Unlike now, now that I am letting myself, it feels very freeing.

I was preparing for my bath when I heard my phone ring. I think it's my manager. Ano naman kaya? Did somebody post a picture of us? Did we get caught by a paparazzi?

I missed the call from an unknown number, but I received a message from it.

Unknown Number:
Hi Seo Yeaji-ssi. This is Ahn Zoe. Can you spare me your time?

This is Soohyun's girlfriend right? Anong meron? Why did she suddenly reach out?

I ask her the location deets without thinking twice.

Naroon na siya nang makarating ako sa cafe na sinuggest niya. I haven't met in person but I am certain that she's the girl in the floral dress. Now, here am I, about to speak with the girl I'm curious about.

"Hi," I said, meeting her almond eyes like Soohyun's.

"Hi," she politely stood and pulled the chair for me.

Tahimik lang kami sa aming lamesa habang hinihintay ang drinks namin. I sometimes catch her looking at me.

She looks nervous.

"Sorry kung inaya kita sa ganitong oras," panimula niya. "Uhm... this is about Soohyun."

"I know,"

"We've been together for five years now. We were happy, you know? He's the guy I need. Very responsible, kind and funny..." she laughs with humor, "Who wouldn't fall for a funny guy, right?"

It came like a tricky question to me. I remain silent.

"But these days, after your recent TV drama, everything seemed to be falling apart. What I invested for us seems to fade. He wasn't like this when he came back from his military service. It was only five months... and he came back like that..."

Do you know where I am coming from, Yeaji-ssi? You are confusing my boyfriend! No-- you are confusing my fiance!"

She's in tears, I'm in shock.

"Have you talked to him about this?" I ask. She shakes her head.

"I am very sorry, we just met and I'm like this. Don't get me wrong, if you were on my shoe, you will feel the same-"

"-I will feel the same but I won't do the same, Zoe-ssi. If I were you, I would sort things out with my fiance first. If things won't work just the same. I think it's time for me to let go."

"Yeaji-ssi!" tumaas ang kanyang boses na siyang kinagulat ko, "You cannot easily give up things like this."

"Soohyun isn't a thing. If you think you can sort things out by telling me to stop communicating with Soohyun-ssi then, you're wrong. Hear his side, you can't decide for him, Zoe-ssi. Ikaw din ang masasaktan kapag pinagpatuloy mo ito."

"You have a choice, Yeaji-ssi! Sa bawat pag-aya niya parati kang may option. I saw all of your conversations. Yet, you choose to ruin our relationship!"

"It was a tough decision, Zoe-ssi! To let these feelings eat my being or let myself feel these feelings. You did not know that! You know what? Why don't you just let fate decide for itself? If you are only thinking of the six or five years you've been together then you aren't in love! You're just sentimental! Wake up!"
