In a land far east, where the eldest children of Ilúvatar lived there was a young elf there. Her skin was fair and her long golden hair was braided half up half down. Her eyes were a beautiful shade of blue. Her name was Caladwen.

Her mother and father were noble elves and respected by many in Ithilien. She had an older brother, Megildur and a little sister, Valadhiel.

Caladwen was a happy elf, who was immediately loved by everyone she smiled at. But the only true love for her was a young elf named Daeron, a kind-hearted blacksmith.

To describe Daeron as charming is like comparing the sun with a candle flame, they just aren't synonyms. Daeron took Caladwen on long walks, brought her the most beautiful flowers and forged her jewelry with his own two hands.

Caladwen sang to Daeron and danced with him under the starlight, the purest light in the whole Middle-Earth. They had promised to eachother to stay together until their ship sailed to Valinor, where they could spend their immortal lives together in peace.
