"It's so true! When people ask me, I say I wanna win another world cup, I wanna win another gold medal and I think people are like well you already have one" Kelley says over our call making me grin
"Yeah but it's like you can never have another" She tells me
"Right! It's not enough" I reply totally getting where she's coming from
"Someone's always like you have this many and this many so what motivates you and I was like, winning, like what else?" I laugh out as Kelley nods her head in agreement
"Literally winning, I wanna win tomorrow, I wanna win today, yeah totally" She says just as I hear the office door open
"Well I just want to say thank you so much, this has been awesome, I have loved talking to you and I can't wait to watch you play in person and I can't wait to see what you guys do with the P-dub" Kel says making me smile at the nickname
"And I'm proud of you, keep pushing and keep fighting and just- we create our future so your doing that and that's awesome" Kelley tells me
"Yeah no, thanks for leading the march though, we follow a lot of you guys" I tell the soccer player who is smirking at me subtly
"We got each others backs, we are in this together so it's all good. Alright thanks Hillary" Kelley says waving to me over the screen
"Thanks Kelley" I respond before watching her click a few buttons off screen
"And we are done!" Kel cheers making me shake my head laughing
Just as I'm about to respond I fell someone wrap their arms behind me and rest their head on my shoulder. Knowing its my wife I turn slightly to kiss the side of it.
"Hey baby horse, how's baby bay horse doing?" Kelley gushes
"Keeping me up all night that's what she's doing, I swear she purposefully wakes up just when I fall to sleep" Alex says making me laugh
"She's an angel for me" I smirk making Kelley laugh
"Yeah well its your turn tonight so get back to me in the morning when you've had no sleep" My wife warns me.
"How's my sister doing?" I ask knowing she's struggling a little with trying to get back on her feet after the last game against Brazil
"She's getting there, we are just taking it a day at a time and working on our mental health more than anything" Kelley tells me and I can see her face light up just talking about my little sister
"Good, take care of her Kelley, the anniversary is coming up soon you know how she gets" I tell her sadly and she smiles back to me softly just as Alex squeezes me a little tighter
"Always Hil, always" Is all Kelley needs to say for me to know she's already been thinking about it
"Alright well I'll let you guys go now, I've already stolen Hil for an hour she's all yours now Alex" Kelley tells us both
"That's so kind of you Janice, I'm glad I can have my wife back" Alex says sarcastically to her best friend
"Peace out from the best Auntie!" Kelley says before hanging up the call. I turn to face my wife with a smile on my face as she sits herself down in my lap
"Hey baby, you okay?" I ask her as she lets out a sigh and snuggles her head further into my shoulder
"Yeah, just exhausted from trying to get my fitness back and watching over Charlie" She tells me and I start rubbing small circle on her back in hopes to comfort her
