Mondo and Kiyotaka had been together for a good few years now. They had originally met in Hope's Peak Academy when they were forced into an attempted killing game. However, everyone refused to kill each other so it ended up being unsuccessful. Eventually, the students of class 78 came face to face with the Mastermind Junko Enoshima herself. She ended up having 'The Ultimate Punishment' where she met her end. The students managed to leave the school but found that the world had been put into complete despair. So everyone created the Future Foundation in order to restore hope. It took a while, but it ended up being successful. Once everyone could finally rest and put everything they had been through in the past, Kiyotaka and Mondo ended up living together in a house that Mondo had built for them. It was then the pair had realised they were in love. It was coming up to their 3rd anniversary of being together and Mondo was clueless as to what he wanted to do. He wanted to do something meaningful and something that would be remembered by Kiyotaka. He groaned in frustration. He really wanted to do something special yet had no idea. He decided to turn on a movie as he had nothing better to do and he was home alone as Kiyotaka was now Prime Minister and worked for quite a long time. Halfway through the movie something appeared that gave him the perfect idea. It was something that he had been debating for a while and decided it may have been the best idea he could have ever had. He officially decided that the next day he would start to put the plan into action. A few hours later, Kiyotaka came through the door looking exhausted. Mondo got up from the sofa to greet him. "Hey Taka," He said with a grin. Kiyotaka just gave a small smile and a wave. "God ya look terrible, c'mon Taka sit down for a bit," Mondo said, grabbing Kiyotaka's hand and leading him to the sofa. Kiyotaka tried to protest but didn't have the energy to. Mondo sat down and Kiyotaka followed in pursuit. Mondo could tell how tired Kiyotaka was as he immediately rested his head on Mondos shoulder and tried to fight to keep his eyes open. Mondo started to stroke Kiyotaka hair in order to get him to sleep. Kiyotaka eventually gave in and fell asleep. His head dropped into Mondos lap and he let out light snores. Mondo felt bad that Kiyotaka had to work so hard that almost everyday he came home and fell asleep. After a couple hours and once Mondo had woken Kiyotaka to eat then afterwards was very sleepy. Against Kiyotakas wishes, Mondo carried him up to bed where both almost immediately crashed and were asleep in each other's arms.

Mondo woke up to Kiyotaka getting out of bed for work. "Mornin' Taka," Mondo mumbled out. "Morning babe," Kiyotaka said, kissing Mondo on the head which Mondo smiled at. "I'm going very soon, but I have good news!" Kiyotaka exclaimed, taking Mondos hand into his and squeezing it. "Hm?" Mondo said intrigued. "I can take our anniversary off so we can spend the day together!" Kiyotaka said happily. "That's great Taka," Mondo said grinning himself. "Right, I best be off. I'll see you later!" Kiyotaka said kissing Mondo before leaving. Mondo smiled knowing now that he would be able to have a day where Kiyotaka was all his. About an hour later Mondo finally decided to get out of bed to start his plan. Once he was changed, Mondo got on his motorbike and rode into the city to shops. He left his bike in a parking lot and went to look around. He was walking for a while and couldn't find anything that he liked. Until he found a small shop that caught his eye so he decided to walk in. He looked around for a bit until he found something perfect. He knew immediately it was what he wanted so picked it out and bought it. He took it into his pocket and left the shop and went to his bike to go home. He got into the house and ran upstairs to hide what he bought. He put it under the mattress on his side of the bed. He spent most of the day thinking of a plan that wasn't completely okay but he still had one more day to improve on it. That day was one of the days that Kiyotaka didn't feel tired so it was a nice but simple evening. The next day passed rather quickly and before the couple knew it, it was their anniversary. "Morning babe!" Kiyotaka said happily, waking up Mondo. "Mornin'," Mondo said, bringing Kiyotaka into his arms. Kiyotaka wrapped his arms around Mondo. "You want to get up soon?" Kiyotaka asked. "Sure," Mondo said tiredly. After a while, they both got up and changed before they went out to celebrate. "So... what do ya wanna do?" Mondo asked. "I don't mind! Anything is fine really," Kiyotaka said grinning. So they decided to act as if they were teenagers. They went to places like the cinema and an arcade and places like that. They had a lot of fun and really enjoyed the fact it was an upbeat day and not your typical relationship where you would expect going to a fancy restaurant. "Hey Kiyotaka, I actually have one more idea of what to do before we call it a day," Mondo said nervously. Kiyotaka smiled. "Okay, I'm sure it will be great," Kiyotaka said happily. They ended up going home where Mondo led Kiyotaka to his bike. They got on and they sped away to where Hope's Peak was. As it was late at night, Mondo just left his bike knowing it was unlikely to get stolen. "Can ya believe it's been about 5 years since we left this place," Mondo said with slight disbelief. "I know, I'm glad though, even though we now have our memories all back, I'm still not too fond of the place," Kiyotaka said sadly. "'Ey, there's one good thing abou' it, ya met me," Mondo grinned. "Well, that is true, and I couldn't be happier," Kiyotaka said smiling. "C'mon," Mondo said, taking Kiyotaka's hand into his. Mondo continued to drag Kiyotaka's along till they met a quiet and desolate place. Kiyotaka's eyes lit up. "This is where we had our first date! We haven't been here in ages, I remember when we came here to stargaze," Kiyotaka said, his voice drifting off. Mondo sat down and tapped the ground next to him for Kiyotaka to sit down which he did. "I love ya so much Taka," Mondo said, wrapping an arm around him and pulling him closer. "I love you too," Kiyotaka said smiling. After about 10 minutes of stargazing Mondo started to get nervous. "Hey Taka?" He gulped sitting up. "Yes?" Kiyotaka asked worriedly. "I er, need to tell ya somethin'," Mondo said nervously. "Oh, erm, what is it, oh god you want to break up don't you? I should've seen this coming," Kiyotaka said then blabbering on saying how he should've been a better boyfriend, assuming the worst due to Mondos tone of voice and actions. "Taka shut up for a minute," Mondo said, stopping him from talking. Kiyotaka stopped talking looking away sadly. "Thats not what I wanted to say," Mondo said. "I wanted to ask you something," Mondo said, starting to get more nervous than he already was. "Go on then," Kiyotaka said gulping. Mondo sighed. "I've been in love with ya I think since the moment we finally got along and when ya said ya felt the same was an amazin' moment. And every moment we've shared has just been, I can't even describe it," Mondo started with a nervous look. "I don' think I can imagine my life without ya," He said before heavily sighing. He then moved the position he was in and even though they were both sitting in front of each other, he adjusted so he was on one knee. "So, will ya, Kiyotaka Ishimaru, have the honor of maybe considerin' marryin' me?" Mondo asked, showing the ring he picked out that was a silver ring and had a red ruby in it. "Mondo..." Kiyotaka breathed out. "How dare you," Kiyotaka started. Mondos face dropped. "I was supposed to be the one who proposed!" He exclaimed jokingly. Mondos face lit up. "So, what does that mean?" Mondo asked. "It means yes you big dummy!" Kiyotaka exclaimed, tackling Mondo into a hug. The couple then ended up crying happily in each others arms. Mondo took Kiyotakas hand and slipped the ring on his finger. They then ended the exciting day by sharing a tender kiss.
