[14]First Mission (pt. 1)

𝕻𝖑𝖊𝖆𝖘𝖊 𝖉𝖔𝖓'𝖙 𝖌𝖔. 𝖄𝖔𝖚'𝖗𝖊 𝖚𝖘𝖎𝖓𝖌 𝖞𝖔𝖚𝖗𝖘𝖊𝖑𝖋 𝖆𝖘 𝖆 𝖇𝖆𝖎𝖙, 𝖑𝖎𝖙𝖙𝖑𝖊 𝖔𝖓𝖊

As I opened my eyes, I saw my parrot at the top of my brea- i mean my chest. "What are you doing Hiroto?" Well yes of course I also name my bird.

"Oyakata-sama have decided to put you in a mission"

"Wait- REALLY??!!" I stood up on my bed and looked at my bird with big eyes "Is this mission gonna be thrilling?!"

"Well yes, but you have an accompany which is Hayashi and Nishimura because the demons are still looking for you"

"Hmm- what is the reason why I am going to a mission though?" I asked

"I don't know actually, but it might benefit your stamina and everything"

"Hmmm I see I see, well I'll go and take a bath already!"

And there, I finally put on my uniform and everything.

"Ah...it feels good to hold you again my precious sword" I said as I hugged my sword like I have never touched it for thousand years

I looked for my clothe to cover my eyes, and I saw a note below it.

Dear Akari
      I have seen the clothe that is going to cover your eyes on the floor. I notice that there is a scratch on it, and so, I sew it to secure it.

I smiled at the note before wearing my clothe. I went outside so that I can inform them that I'll be going for a mission.

"Ah! Aoi-chan! Thanks for sewing this!" I said and pointed at the clothe that was mentioned

"It's a no no problem! And also be careful on your mission!"

"Alright! I'll be going now!!" I shouted and waved at them

"Oh! Akari is there!" A voice shouted accross me. I used my senses and know who they are, ah...Mika and Masaru are waiting for me.

I ran towards them and saw them...distancing each other "Why are you guys distancing? Is there any problem that happend?" I asked

"This guy is annoying, he kept on asking if you're here already or not when I got annoyed I distanced myself away from him." She said

"Hm...I see. So, what is the mission for today?" I asked

"The children have been disappearing every night in the orphanage that is located somewhere near Tokyo" She explained

"Yeah, since today is still morning. We can make it in time in night time" Masaru added

I nodded "Well then, let's walk to there" they nodded and we started our first mission together.

When we reached our destination, it was still afternoon.

"We have more time to investigate around the building, but first we have to tell this to the sisters here" I said and went to the doors of the orphanage

I knocked three times and the door slowly opened the door by the sisters "oh? Can I help you miss?" They said

"I have heard that kids have been disappearing every night here, and I am here to look for the suspect." I explained

"Ah! Yes!" They said and opened the door wider for us "You may enter." They said and I nodded at the others

"Right...let's investigate around the building" Masaru whispered at Mika

They lead me in an office where there were no kids disrupting us. I sat on a chair which is infront of the table "So, when was this started?"

"It all started few weeks ago, we have been asking the other kids if they have seen the missing one but they said 'no but we saw her before the night falls' after that, lots of lots of kids have been disappearing now and then" they explained

"Is there any place that is unused" i asked and they started to think

"Yeah! There is actually, but it's the storage room which is near the river" they said

"Hm...I see, I'll be back before the night falls" I said and stood up

I started to use my senses and tried to look for a demon. There is no demons around here "oh and before I go, how many sisters are here in the orphanage?" I asked

"There are 13, the other three are in the kitchen making food for the kids" they said

I'll suspect the three of you.

I went outside and look for the two of them, "so did you find anything?" I asked

"We found bloody Clothes" Masaru said

"Where?" I aksed

They pointed at a tree which is far at the building but near to the river. I walked towards and it and smelled a perfume, a perfume? I smelled the scent, and it smell like Strawberry.

I slowly walked unto the pile of bloody clothes and started scanning each one of them

"So...did you find anything on those clothes?" Mika asked

"I haven't found anything but look at this" I said and pointed at the holes "There are three small holes on the part where their heart is located. They might be using fork to kill them"

"But why would they use a fork if they are a demon?" Masaru asked

"There might be one of the sisters that are killing them, before the demon eat the kids. In short, there is one sister that knows demons."

"So...one of the sisters...is being accompanied by a demon? Like...the sister is following the demon's order?" Mika asked

"Yes, we all have to do is, look for the sister and look for the storage room" I said

"And...why do we need to look for the storage room?" Masaru asked

"I asked the sisters if there is a place that is unused, and they said that it is the storage room. That place might be where the demon that is hiding" I explained

"Let's look for the storage room Akari!" They suggested

"No, the both of you will be looking for it. I entrust the both of you with this okay?" They sighed and nodded "Good, I'll be going inside again"

I walked to the doors again and opened it.

"You're back!" They said and I saw the kids

"W-who is this, sisters?" They asked

"My name is Akari nice to meet ya!" I said and smiled.

"Why are you covering your eyes?" One of them politely asked

"Personal reasons"

"Why do you have a sword?"

How did they- "Personal reasons too"

"Are you a ninja?"

"I guess?"

"Woah that's amazing!" They said as their eyes sparkled in amazement

I chuckled at the sight of the kids and started to sense the three other sisters coming in.

I tried to smell them even if they are far away, oh? One of them smelled like Strawberry, I guess I'm right. There is one sister that is following the demon's order
