[27]Peace and Sadness

𝖂𝖊𝖑𝖑 𝖉𝖔𝖓𝖊, 𝖑𝖎𝖙𝖙𝖑𝖊 𝖔𝖓𝖊.

As the sky came back to normal, everyone cheered in happiness and other people wept in sadness. The feeling of their pride inside their heart is full and it was great.

The only problem is that during their final battle, they have lost a lot of people, they lost a lot of important people in their lives. They were so brave that they put their life on line to win the war and save people.

[Three Months Later]

People are recovering in the butterfly mansion, some of them haven't woken up yet and others are fully healed.

But right now, the remaining hashiras are now being called who were Sanemi, Kitshirou, Giyuu and Kessho.

"Thank you for coming back Sanemi, Giyuu, Kitshirou and Kessho, this is the final meeting. You are the only surviving hashiras and many rank-and-file corps members died...however, we have successfully eradicated the...bad demons."

"Thus, the demon slaying corps disbands today"

"For many years, fighters such as yourselves risked your life and fought bravely to save the people in the world. Everyone in the Ubayashiki Family extends their heartfelt gratitude" and after that the remaining Ubayashiki family members bowed infront of the remaining hashiras.

"PLEASE DON'T BOW!"

"WE DON'T NEED THANKS!"

"WHAT HELD THE DEMON SLAYERS WAS THE UBAYASHIKI FAMILY!"

"Kiriya, you were awesome at your job so your father and all your ancestors...must be very good" Giyuu said to Kiriya who were a part of the family and helped them

The girl wept as she thank to Giyuu.

Meanwhile in Mika's room at the butterfly mansion.

"Gosh...I'm really harsh aren't I?" Akari said and held unto Mika's right hand

"You aren't, you were just out of your senses. But it isn't your fault, it was that dumbass bitch who gave his blood to you" She said and smiled to me

"Yeah" Masaru agreed as he leaned unto the door frame

"Yeah, but without him I wouldn't be living on this earth now-"

"Let's stop talking about our previous war anymore and let's keep thinking our future from now on" Mika said as she slept again

"Sweet dreams" Akari said and stood up from her seat, walking towards Masaru's direction "Let's go out for a while" She said and closed the door

The two of them walked out of the mansion going their way to the place where they first met. There was an awkward silence for the both of them because of what happend 3 months ago.

"Look I-" Akari looked down at the ground and sighed "I'm sorry...it might brought you trauma after what I did..." She scratched the bsck of her neck

"It's okay-"

"You wouldn't understand...I...I..." she started to breathe uncontrobally

"Hey...hey...come on...breathe in...breathe out..." Masaru said as he hugged the figure of Akari "There's nothing to worry about, it's over" he patted the head of Akari and did it for five minutes after releasing her

They sat on the ground where they sat before, the time where Akari found her first love at the first sight.

Masaru hummed once again, it was the melody of a song that can calm Akari down because it was the first melody that was heard from him. But Akari was still overthinking about something, something that kept bothering her mind until Masaru felt the tension from her.

"What are you thinking about darling? Are you okay?" Masaru asked as he faced her

"I-It's nothing..." Akari said as she refused the thing that was roaming around her head

"Please tell me..." He pleased to Akari which made her skip a beat of her heart

"Fine...it's just...Am I still beautiful with this plum red eyes that reminds you of that monster?" She said which made Masaru freeze in his place

He chuckled before talking "Darling...is that what you are thinking about?" He sighed before continuing "I don't care what you look like, I don't care if your eyes gives me trauma. The thing is that I only care about your presence infront of me now. Your personality is your beauty" He smiled before leaning in for a kiss.

The kiss wasn't forced, it wasn't lust, it wasn't anything bad...it was...love.

As they pull away, they just looked at each other with an embarassing expressions plastered on their face.

The both of them looked away on each other because of how embarassing it was, their face was tinted with bright pink as they blushed. It was an hour full of silence until they have decided to go at the orphanage.

As they walked inside, they were greeted by the smiles and cries of kids and sisters. One by one they were attacked by a big group hug.

"It's great to see everyone again" Akari said while Masaru is now on the ground getting tackled by the kids

"Where's Mika nee-chan?" Asked a little boy who was pretty attacked to Mika

"She's in the butterfly mansion, she's still recovering but don't worry! She'll be fine" Akari said and patted the little boy

"Why did the color of your eyes changed Akari nee-chan?" Another little boy wondered

"Oh it's uh...hmm...the color of my eyes can change its colors!" She lied to the boy to make it magical not a horror

"Wowwwwww" every kid said in unison as their eyes sparkled in amazement

"Can you change your eyes color to green??" A little girl who have emerald eyes suggested

"I'm sorry but my eye color can only change a few times, because if I did I might be blind" She lied again and the kids nodded

She knew that if she's going to tell the truth to the kids, the kids will be scared of her because of what had happend to all of them becore, which will cause a trauma for them.

As the kids stopped surrounding them, Akari helped Masaru to stand up on his foot after getting tackled by little kids.

"How was getting tackled by kids?" Akari jokingly said and chuckled.

"Pretty bad, but it was fun in some other way" He said and brushed off the dust on his patient uniform that was given in the butterfly mansion.

Everyone who survived and won never stopped enjoying their life before their own time stops. No one knows when they are going to die but the only thing they know is that their life clock is almost there.
