"WHAAT?!!! SO YOU LEFT THE DEMON SLAYING CORPS ALREADY???!" Mika shouted at me and grabbed both of my shoulders but despite of her height she can't really reach my shoulders that much
"It's a good choice" I said and removed her hands off my shoulder "I want each one of you be safe" I said and smiled
"B-but-"
"I know the demons are not only looking for me but if I leave the corps then it will be more safer" I said "Don't worry, I am still on your side..." I smiled and patted her head
"Alright kids, is everyone comfortable here?" I asked them
"Yes! This place is really beautiful for us to stay!" One kid exclaimed and hugged me
"It's wonderful to hear that" I said and patted her head. I can feal my tears that are going to burst out but I can't let it out infront of the kids "s-so, who's ready for their lunch?"
Everyone raised their hands and smiled, other kids cheered.
"Well then, let's go inside shall we?" I said and lead them all to the dining room. Everyone sat in their seats and stared at the food
"Wooowww the foods look delicious!!" One of the kid said as her eyes sparkled
"Mhm! But before we will eat, let us all pray okay?" All of them nodded and I lead the prayer "Thank you for everything and thank you for the food. Ita daki masu"
"Ita daki masu" everyone said in unison. I watched them all eat their lunch, I chuckled at the youngest kid who can't use chopstick.
So I went to him and helped him eat. He shyly smiled at me because of the embarassment.
I tought him how to use it and he immedietely learned. I look at all of them before leaving and have another intense talk to the sisters.
"...yep, the orphanage is really destroyed. What do we have to do now?" I overheared one of the sister said that. I tapped her shoulder and I said
"They can stay here" I said and they looked at me
"Stay? But this is an estate...not an orphanage..." The brown haired sister said
"I can explain, I'll be leaving this place into your hands because I have quitted the demon slaying corps"
"What?!!" The red-haired girl said "Is it because of us?! Is it because of the thing that happend?! Or maybe it's because-"
"It's none of you. I have personal reasons." I said
"So...you will be leaving this place into our hands, already?" The blonde haired girl asked and I nodded.
A batch of tears went out of their eyes and they held unto their uniforms. All of them went to me and hugged me
"Thank you so much"
"You helped us too much"
"I will owe you much"
"It's a no problem" I patted each one of their backs. They loosened their hugs and wiped all their tears away from their eyes. "I'll be leaving in the next day"
"N-next day?!"
"Yep"
"But the kids will miss you"
"Yeah...but I can still make letters for everyone" I exclaimed "By using my little Hiroto" I said and called my parrot.
"Ohhh, so this is your bird?" One of the sisters asked
