Chapter 15- Friends

After three days...

Taehyung is in his room sulking around, knowing today he is going to loose Jisoo, where as she is going to be someone else's. He knew what he did broke his heart but he also knew this step was necessary to save Ji-hoon and his family from humiliation. He couldn't let that happen. Ji-hoon never meant anything to him except uncle before but since he entered into a friendship treaty, Ji-hoon's place in his heart levelled into another prospect.

Suddenly a loud bang on his door broke him from his deep thought. Opening the door he found his mother grinning widely.

"What happened, mother?"

"Ji-hoon and Soo-min came. Come meet them."

"Wait. Today is the wedding right? So why are they here."

"Wedding was yesterday."

"Oh! I'll come down." Heaving a long sigh he went down to find them sitting on the sofa.

"Taehyung, why did you leave without telling me?" Soo-min asked with a disapproving look.

"Sorry aunty. I had some work here needed to be completed. So I came without any prior notice."

They started having their usual conversation. Ji-hoon noticed Taehyung paced out and was sitting at the corner with his head hung low. Ji-hoon approached him.

"What is the matter, friend?"

"Nothing."

"So you will not share it with your friend?"

"Leave it. Doesn't matters. How is Jisoo?"

"Good."

"Nice. If she is happy nothing else matters."

"Do you miss her?"

"Is that really necessary to ask? I loved her and now she belongs to someone else's which is not me. I am glad she is fine. But knowing I have no claim on her now except a friend, it breaks my heart."

"Then why you left without her?"

"I told you. I did it for my friend. As a token of friendship one of us needed to sacrifice. I can't... I couldn't take her away from you to bring her close to me. You mean a lot to me. Knowing you will get insulted by others would have broke my heart." With that he wiped a single tear which threatened to fall.

"What are you two doing over here?" Ara asked. Soo-min and Sang-jun also came strolling behind Ara.

"Will you be okay if I propose Taehyung to be arranged with my daughter, Ara?" Ji-hoon asked with a loop side grin.

"Really?!" Ara and Soo-min both squealled in joy.

"What? No. You mean that doctor, Byeol. I wouldn't marry her."

"Listen to me boy. It's not what you think..."

"I don't like her. That's it. She has a face...a face of...monkey. Yes you, uncle back off from whatever you are thinking cause it's not gonna happen in million dreams."

"Now you, young man listen to me. I want you to marry my daughter in the sense... I mean in every true sense, Jisoo. I again repeat I want you to marry Jisoo."

"Jisoo? Didn't she get married?"

"No."

"What about your promise to Jin?"

"You sacrificed your love for me. Can't I break one promise for you? It isn't difficult to sacrifice. But having the guts to sacrifice is difficult. You did it and you think I can't? You are wrong boy, I also proved you that my friendship is worth you."

"Have I ever told you that you are the best?"

"No."

Taehyung hugged Ji-hoon tightly, relieved he had chances to win her back.

"Where is Jisoo?"

"You will find her, where the story began."

"The airport."

"Right. Run kid."

He didn't made an effort to change his usual clothes but hurriedly went to his car and drove off to find Jisoo.

Arriving at the airport, he found her sitting at a bench and her head hung low, nervously playing with her fingers. He made his presence next to her, and instantly she raised her head.

"You!!! Why did you left me?" Jisoo snapped at him instantly.

"Jisoo..." He stopped when he saw her raising her hand and signalling him to stop.

"I know. Thanks, Taehyung. I understand why you did that. Now dad agreed us to be together, so I have some confessions."

"Okay? Spill."

"I can't cook."

"I know."

"I will annoy you."

"I know."

"I can act weird sometimes."

"I know."

"But I promise I'll love you to the fullest and keep you happy."

"I know." They hugged each other feeling contented in each other's arms.

"Love you." Taehyung said.

"Forever and always?"

"Forever and always."
