Suddenly You

Omkara was about to leave for office when Shakti walks in.

"Hello, Uncle." Omkara greets smiling.

"Om... how are you?" Shakti asks warmly.

"I am good uncle and you?"

"Good... good... how is your business going?"

"Going good."

"I am hearing lot of good things about you. It makes me so proud." Shakti tells him proudly.

"All I know, I learned from you." Omkara tells him smiling remembering all the help he had showered on him ever since he completed his studies couple of years ago. "Please sit, uncle. I'll call Baba."

"I need to talk to you also." Shakti tells him.

"Okay." Omkara nods and goes to call his father.

"Shakti Sir, aap? Why did you come here? You should have called me and I would have come." Tej tells him.

"I have been telling you for years now you are no longer my driver so you should drop the sir." Shakti tells him smiling.

"Old habits die hard." Omkara tells him chuckling.

"How is everyone at home?" Tej asks him.

"Everyone's good. The reason I came here is because I wanted to talk to you about Gauri."

"Gauri?" Tej asks curiously.

"Yes... for a while I've been having this wish to see Gauri married to Om... I thought I should just stop procrastinating and just talk to you about it." Shakti tells them.

Omkara's heart skipped a beat hearing that. Gauri and him? They have known each other since Gauri was born and they were kind of friends or rather friendly but marriage?

"What are you saying?" Tej asks shocked, "You are so rich and we are..."

"I have seen Om's capabilities and I know he will go a long way. He'll achieve more than I have ever achieved. I have high hopes in him and I believe that he'll surpass my hopes too." Shakti tells him confidently.

"But you are my boss."

"I was."

"Even Om worked for you."

"He was a trainee in my company."

"You are you and we are us." Tej says helplessly.

"If our social situation is your issue, then please don't say no but if it is something else then I'll understand." Shakti tells him gently.

"There is no other issue... Gauri is just like my daughter."

"So shall I consider it as a yes from your side?" Shakti asks smiling excitedly.

Tej turns to Omkara and asks him gently, "Om?"

"What did Gauri say?" Omkara asks Shakti.

"I didn't talk to her about it yet. I thought if you say no then she might be embarrassed in meeting you later so thought I will talk to you first." Shakti explains.

"Will she agree?" Omkara asks him.

"She wants to torture me. I thought like Bhavya and Anika she will find her husband all by herself but then the girl is determined to have an arranged marriage saying I should choose a guy for her and she will marry him happily." Shakti says tired shaking his head.
