"Hey darling...it's tonight."

I looked at the sky. It was dark as always, but tonight, and tonight only, you could see three white orbs hanging around. The three moons. I blinked, staring through the large, tightly barred window.

They were as beautiful as always, with one full like a perfect circle, the one in the middle a dazzling crescent, and the last one cut in half. Moonlight shone in from the space between the ridiculously strong bars, and it landed on something that was precious to us.

"Love?"

I slowly turned my head and smiled faintly, me being called by her. "Yes?"

"Did you hear me? It's tonight." The owner of the voice was surly annoyed, her form hidden among the dark shadows in this place They tried to persuade us as home. "You know it, right?" She tapped her claws. "Since you're like all-knowing and stuff."

"First, I'm not all-knowing or stuff." I protested, dragging the dragon in shadow out a bit. "Second, I do know it's tonight. Saw it coming already yesterday. And third, why are you placing it under the moonlight?"

Being dragged by me, a strong male, she had no choice but to give up and walk out on her own. "Alright Blackstalker, I'm not blaming you. It's just...I got this feeling a minute ago, and now I'm pretty messed up. You should be glad you're not listening to my thoughts now, or else you would've gone crazy or starts complaining nonstop."

I huffed and flicked my white-spiked tail

I huffed and flicked my white-spiked tail. "I forgive you, but why under the moonlight?"

"To receive the powers, of course," she looked at me as though I lost my sense. "We have a full moon hanging around today. It would've been better if he's hatched a month ago when two were there, but one and a half is also okay."

"For goodness's sake, Starcatcher...you're obsessed with them these days." I sighed, moving difficultly with the heavy chains on me and the iron balls that were connected to them. "I thought you said being without powers like you is the ideal way of life? Since you never have to worried about visions and loud mental voices."
