As suspected, the next day went even worse.

During Isa's early morning shift, deadlier monsters arrived. They were able to take it out in time before it passed Thalia's tree, but got injuries in exchange. Isa didn't get it too bad, Victoria Taylor came out unconscious. Isa prayed she'd be fine by tomorrow because they couldn't afford to lose any campers especially now.

And they made it official.

They fired Chiron. They told him to leave by dinner, and Tantalus is lucky he's still alive. And the only form of entertainment the camp has is watching Tantalus trying to eat.

As the day went by, Isa was starting to doubt if Percy and Annabeth would come. She still stayed positive about Annabeth, but she wasn't sure about Percy. Maybe his mom forced him to stay home.

It was 4:15PM, fifteen minutes before her shift, but she decided to head up the hill early since she wasn't doing anything anyway. And when she arrived she was shocked.

There was a huge creature with the body of a stag, a lion's neck, cloven hooves and a wide mouth with sharp, bony ridge in place of teeth.

Isa looked at Clarisse who was had the shift before her, and majority of the campers with her were down. Mostly the men. Then Isa looked at the hyena-like creature and realized it was a Crocotta. It had a voice that imitates humans to call men by name at night, and to devour those who approach it. It is as brave as a lion, as swift as a horse and as strong as a bull.

Clarisse only had half of her campers up.

"Styx!" Isa cursed and pulled her ring off, Waves stretching to its full glory.

"Clarisse! Duck!" Isa yelled and she did. Her once previous position was where its tail swiped at.

"Potter!" Clarisse hissed though Isa could see she was relieved to have some form of back up. Isa ran towards the Crocotta and slashed and rolled before it could pounce on her.

The Isa heard another growl. She looked around to see not one but two Crocottas.

Styx!

Clarisse handled one while the rest of the other campers handled the other one. It seems as if Clarisse was doing fine on her own, but the other five weren't. Isa watched as the Crocotta swiped at a camper throwing him back towards a tree.

"Take the other one. I got this," Clarisse said and Isa nodded, running towards the other one.

When Isa was running, she could see the the monster about to pounce on a camper as it bared its teeth. Isa pushed faster and before it could pounce on the camper, Isa pushed her aside earnings a scratch at her side. She hissed it pain.

Di immortals! She forgot her armor.

"Thanks," the girl said.

"Don't mention it," Isa said quickly as she ran away from the campers, to steer the monster away from the other.

"Get back inside! Call my shift now!" Isa said and those still up helped the injured back inside camp.

Isa ran towards the side, away from Thalia's tree and away from where Clarisse was fighting.

As she was running, it's usually a stupid decision to turn back but Isa was glad she did. The Crocotta was right on her and she saw a tree up front. Not far. Then she had an idea.

She ran slower, making sure the Crocotta would catch up even more. Then as soon as she was a few inches away from the tree, she side stepped, making the monster run head first into the tree.
