The next few days were torture, just like Tantalus wanted.

First there was Tyson moving into the Poseidon cabin, giggling to himself like a school girl every fifteen seconds and saying, "Percy is my brother?" and "Isa is my sister?" like he's just won the lottery.

Isa found it quite funny at first, she laughed at Tyson's reactions. But it just became obnoxious at one point.

"Aw, Tyson," Percy'd say. "It's not that simple."

As much as Isa was going to take Tyson under her wing, she still kept some distance.

Isa could tell that Percy was ashamed. She couldn't blame him... part of her also felt ashamed.

Their father, the all-powerful Poseidon, has got moony-eyed for some nature spirit, and Tyson had been the result. Isa knew that Cyclops were Poseidon's children, and she knew about Tyson, but she never fully wrapped her head around it. She knew Cyclopes were related to them, but never processed that this made them her... family. Until she had Tyson living with her in the next bunk. Isa was also ashamed to have Tyson's kind as part of her family and living in the same cabin considering her history with them. It didn't feel right to even associate herself with one. But she'd have to try and Isa was thrilled to have family... she just wasn't expecting a Cyclopes.

And there were comments from the other campers. Suddenly, Percy wasn't Percy Jackson, the cool guy who'd retrieved Zeus's lightning bolt last summer. Now he was Percy Jackson, the poor schmuck with the ugly monster for a brother. Isa also received comments though it wasn't as bad as Percy. It was probably because she was a highly respected camper. Everyone respected her, and she was the one who took a lot of lead during the year when Thalia's tree got poisoned. On top of that, she's one of the campers who has been in camp the longest.

"He's not our real brother!" Percy protested whenever Tyson wasn't around. "He's more like a half-brother on the monstrous side of the family. Like... a half-brother twice removed, or something."

Nobody bought it. Percy tried to deny everything, and Isa kept quiet.

She'll admit — she was angry at her dad. She felt like being his daughter was now a joke.

Annabeth tried to make them feel better. She even suggested that she'll help the siblings for the chariot race. Don't get her wrong — the three hated Tantalus and they were worried sick about camp — but they didn't know what to do about it. Until they could come up with some brilliant plan to save Thalia's tree, they figured they might as well go along with the races. After all, Annabeth's mom, Athena, had invented the chariot, and their dad created horses. With Annabeth's help with the chariots, the siblings would own that track.

One morning Annabeth, Percy and Isa were sitting by the canoe lake sketching chariot designs when some jokers from Aphrodite's cabin walked by and asked the siblings if they needed to borrow some eyeliner for their eye... "Oh, sorry, eyes."

As they walked away laughing, Annabeth grumbled, "Just ignore them, you two. It isn't your fault you have a monster for a brother."

"He's not our brother!" Percy snapped. "And he's not a monster either."

Isa remained silent.

Annabeth raised her eyebrows. "Hey, don't get mad at me! And technically, he is a monster."

"Well, you gave him permission to enter camp."

"Because it was the only way to save your life! I mean... I'm sorry, Percy, Isa, I didn't expect Poseidon to claim him. Cyclopes are the most deceitful, treacherous —"
