Johnny X Pony (The Outsiders)

Chapter 7:

"Hey do you want me to drive you home it's really cold outside?" Darry asks Two-Bit, Dally, Steve, and Camellia.

"I can walk. I'm fine." Camellia exclaims shooting up and walking towards the door. Dally grabbed her hand before she could open the door. "You sure?" Dally asks her,

"Yeah."

"I'll walk with you, no greaser walks alone. Right Johnny and Pony." We both open our eyes wide and remember when the Soc's jumped us when we were alone. "yeah." we say with a shiver,

"Where do you live? I'll drive you guys." Darry says grabbing his coat and keys. Camellia looked shocked and stood there. "Pony, Johnny, Soda. Stay out of trouble. Camellia where's your house?"

"I don't go home, ever, just drop me in the vacant lot. Please." She said quietly.

"Just drop her at my place." Dally says as they all get in the car together. When the door closes we all look at each other, Soda smiles. He's always happy like that, probably planing something. We all started laughing for no reason, I was hoping Soda didn't see that Johnny kissed me today. "Don't cause trouble he says he doesn't know me obviously." we all laughed uncontrollably, that's when I looked out and Soc's rolled up outside our house in a nice car. Soda answers the door and Camellia's brother stood there with a gun pointed at him. "Where is she?" He asks Soda stared at the gun with wide eyes and I went to reach for the phone. "Pick it up I'll shoot you kid." I put my hand down and I'm starting to panic.

"She went with the others." Soda said, trying to lie to him and i dont know if it will work.

"Where did 'the others' go?" He asked putting the gun back pointing at Soda's head.

"I don't know where they went, maybe to the department store." Soda said he looked at him in the eyes. When the soc was asking about the rest of the gang I quietly dialed Dally's number. When he picked up he said 'who is it?' Then heard Soda and the conversation he hung up, the gun pointed at me again. "I told you kid, do you ever listen." I don't remember much after that, just a loud bang and the the voices of the gang. I couldn't hear what they said or who, next thing I know I'm looking at Johnny in the hospital. Just him no one else was there at that moment. "Ponyboy! You had all of us scared to death!" He says and he kissed me on the lips, tears started to run down his face. "I was so worried about you. Your lucky Soda knew what to do and that the whole gang showed up." The nurse came in,

"Oh, your awake." She said and ran some tests, "Any closer to your chest that bullet would have hit you heart. Your lucky kid." She left then I heard running down the hall. Sure enough it was the gang, with Camellia. Soda popped in first, "PONYBOY!" He exclaimed happily he was almost in tears, everyone came in and was almost in tears. I rubbed my head, "How long was I out? What time is it?" I asked them,

"You've been out for 12 hours it's January, 20 8:00 in the morning. You had me scared to death next time let Soda handle it, just think next time, jeez kid." Dally said rubbing his head. Canellia was in tears and she fell on the ground,

"I'm sorry Pony, if I only killed my brother when I had the chance you wouldn't be in this mess." She cried,

"Camellia," I say sadly "it ain't your fault. It's mine Soda could have dealt with him. Don't blame yourself."
