That night...
Sevyn was nervous as hell she was about to pop up over Amari's house unannounced to share the gender of the baby with him.
She kept thinking what if he was laid up with Tyra or any other female for that matter. Her stomach was in knots
She turned up the music to relax it was Teyana Taylor Come Back To Me she sang along
"All in my heart like no one know
I'ma give it up and letcha go
And if my heart is really yours
Boy, you'll come back to me"
She cut the music off pulled in a parking spot looked down at her belly "I miss your daddy" she said rubbing her stomach
She got out the car and walked to the elevator and a young pretty girl probably 20 years old got on the elevator with her holding shopping bags from Babies R Us. Her stomach started to hurt she thought what if she was going to see Amari
She was relieved when the elevator dinged and the girl smiled and got off on the 5th floor. Sevyn relaxed a little riding all the way up to the penthouse once it stopped she stepped off and rang his bell she could hear the music pause
Amari was in his living room putting together the baby swing he just bought and listening to music when to doorbell rang he paused it and got up to answer the door he wasn't expecting nobody but the Chinese food he ordered
He walked to the door looking through the peephole seeing Sevyn he raised his brows in confusion and opened the door. "Hey Phatz, I mean Sevyn what's up the baby good" he questioned looking at her
She walked in standing in the doorway looking for signs of another woman with her eyes. Her eyes searched for shoes a bag anything but nothing. Next her eyes turned to the framed picture of her first ultrasound next to a picture of her on her graduation day from Nursing school
"Hello Sevyn are you there" Amari asked looking at her because she was just standing there not saying anything
"Sorry I blanked out real quick I'm tired and eww why we dressed alike" she said laughing He had on a blue champion sweatsuit she had on a pink one and it for sure wasn't planned because she never called him or seen him
He walked back into the living room and sat on the floor to continue to put the swing together. She kicked her sneakers off and followed behind him sitting on the couch.
"I came to find out the gender of the baby with you" she pulled out the envelope. His eyes grew wide with a big smile she loved how excited he was about their baby
"You ready Boogie" she smiled and took the paper out looking at it
She looked at him sitting on the floor in front of her smiling she read the paper out loud "It's a BOYYY" she yelled
He got carried away and sat up kissing her belly "I put a boy in Mommy's tummy" he spoke to her stomach
"That's my fuckin' boy" Amari stood up yelling holding the paper
Sevyn sat there laughing at how crazy he was acting. "You must have known, is that why you have on all blue today" she joked standing up
"Can I use the bathroom" she asked Amari who was still in shock
"Yea, you know where it is" he said still excited about the news
She got up and walked to the bathroom in his bedroom. He thought to himself out of all 3 bathrooms why would she go in there but he didn't care really he had nothing to hide from her
Sevyn only went to his bathroom in the bedroom to further inspect to see if anything female had been there. She seen his bed made up baby oil on the nightstand with tissues and she laughed to herself
Once in the bathroom she looked for panties, flat irons, anything that screamed feminine but nothing. She flushed the toilet and came out to where he was sitting still putting the swing together.
"You got any hot pickles" she questioned looking at Amari
He went to the kitchen grabbed the hot pickles for her hot Cheetos for him. She bit the pickle and took a hot Cheeto from him and put in middle of the pickle and bit it again
"Eww you nasty" he laughed
"Am not try a bite" she put it to his mouth and he did as told just happy to be in her presence
After her pickle she got up to leave and go home "Thank you Sevyn for everything my son and sharing the news with me first, I'm so thankful that it's you going through this process with me" he said with a smile
"No thank you, Goodnight Amari" she walked out his front door smiling
It was no doubt she loved and missed him like crazy but she wasn't ready to take him back, she honestly didn't know if she would ever take him back only time would tell
