Ginny was excited to go back to Hogwarts after what felt like the longest summer ever. She said her goodbyes to her parents and went on the Hogwarts Express. As well as her brothers Fred, George, and Ron. She was just as excited as they were to go back, maybe even more!

She looked around for a seat but only found an empty area and sat there. She turned her head to the window enjoying the view and turned her head back at the door to see a peculiar blonde girl staring at her.

"Excuse me?" Said the girl

"Y-yes?" Said Ginny. Ginny felt nervous? Strange...

"Do you mind if I sit with you? All the other seats are taken." She said with a lovely smile.

"Oh! Of course I don't mind , that's no problem." Ginny said giving the girl a smile as well.

She sat next to her and without care stared at Ginny.

"You have very lovely red hair. You must be a Weasley. My name's Luna by the way, Luna Lovegood." She said still staring at her, but now only at her eyes.

"Oh, thank you. I am a Weasley, Ginny Weasley. Nice to meet you." She said.

They smiled at each other until Ron came in followed Hermione, Harry, and Neville.

"Hey, Ginny! Who's your friend there?" Asked Harry.

"Oh, I'm Luna Lovegood! I'm sure you've heard of me." Responded the blonde girl.

"People call her Looney L-" Hermione blurted and didn't dare continue.

The blonde girl just nodded as Hermione avoided eye contact.

The sight of Luna made Ginny's breath hitch. She wanted to stare at the girl's blue-grey eyes all day, that was until Ron interrupted.

"Oooo! Look the trolley!" Exclaimed the redhead boy. He jumped up in his seat, excited while Ginny wished he flew out of the train for interrupting her staring at Luna without her knowing.

"Do you guys want anything? It's on me." Said the very polite Harry Potter.

Hearing Harry's voice made Ginny remember "I don't like Luna! I like Harry Potter!" (That was in her head of course).

They all made requests, but simple ones so Harry wouldn't waste much on their orders.

"And what would you like, Ginny?" Asked Harry

"Lu-" She stopped herself from continuing and then said "L-Lolly...just a lolly, please." She almost said Luna since she was thinking about the girl.

The trolley lady gave them their candies after Harry payed. He looked at Ginny and smiled knowing how she felt after Ron told him about how she would talk about him all the time in second year( for him. Ginny was in first year)

Ginny tried giving him the best smile after what could've been a disaster if she said Luna instead of a candy name.

Harry knew that wasn't a genuine smile and looked back down at his candy a little upset.

She just frowned and looked at Luna until the girl caught her and she looked at the window pretending she wasn't looking at the blonde a second ago.

"Ginny?" Said Luna as everyone else chatted up a conversation around them ignoring them.

"Y-yeah?" Asked Ginny hoping she didn't see her staring at her long locks of hair and beautiful eyes as Ginny said in her head.

"I saw what you were doing." Said Luna now starting eye contact as Ginny turned her head around.

The others were intrigued as to what Luna was talking about and suddenly stopped talking and stared at Ginny and Luna.

She especially looked at her brother, Ron and the boy she was suppose to like, Harry.

"I-I need some fresh air." Ginny ran out the door and just walked around the train.

"What's up with her?" Asked Ron still enjoying his candy.

Luna just pulled out a pencil and a piece of paper and everyone continued speaking.

Ginny paced in one spot for a while and stared at her feet and sighed as she stopped.

"Ginny?" Luna's gentle voice startled her but, not much since it was so kind of relaxing.

"Oh, Luna! I'm so sorry I ran out like that after you caught me staring at y-" She was interrupted by a paper Luna was handing her.

"What's this? Oh, it's a drawing of-of me?" Ginny asked and smiled at the delicately made drawing. She found no imperfections in the drawing as she found no imperfections with Luna.

"Yes," Luna walked away a little and then turned around "and you might want to come back, we're arriving soon so we're gonna change into our robes. And don't worry the boys won't see us change. Especially not Harry, I know you like him." Luna's last words made her want to cry but she had to hold it in.

She just simply nodded and followed her back.

About 800 words!I hope you liked the first chapter! I'm planning on doing the next chapters in their point of views otherwise known as POV instead of the narrator speaking about them.
