Maggie caressed her lace, eyelet comforter and took a deep breathe before opening her eyes. Then she gathered her courage and stood up.
She shuffled cautiously towards her bureau and looked into the mirror.
Whispy tufts of baby-fine curls were coiling at attention on Maggie's exposed scalp as she reached forward with a smile, grabbing her new bottle of detangler.
After months of chemo and radiation, she couldn't wait to need it again.

That said, I thought to myself so what. Why not make up my own entry and put it in "Time is Precious" and here we are. The above is the entry I'm not allowed to submit but would have if I could have.
