Atsushi opened his eyes, and immediately, harsh sunlight dazzled him. His sight was blurry. It took some time, but after a while his eyes slowly gained better sight and he now could observe the room he was in. White walls, white sheets, white beds... Why was everything so white and clean? The taste on his tounge was disgusting. Almost like... Medicine? Before Atsushi's thoughts could run any further, he noticed a black figure in the corner of his eyes. He turned his head and saw his Akutagawa. He was sleeping next to the bed on a wooden chair. His head was buried in his Arms, both resting on Atsushi's bed. Atsushi's lifted his hand, only to see that it was wired with multiple tubes and cables. Atsushi's mind clicked and he realized: He was in the hospital. Did the last mission turn out to be such a disaster? He couldn't remember a thing.
"...Jinko...?" a tired voice next to him asked. Atsushi looked back at Akutagawa, but he seemed to be asleep. Atsushi's couldn't help but smile. "Yeah... Its me...." were the only words his sore throat allowed him to say. What ever happened, seemed to upset his Lover alot. He let his hand hold Akutagawa's. With the small amount of energy he had left, he brought up Akutagawa's hand and planted a small kiss on top, before he sank back into the soft white pillow and fell asleep with a tired smile on his lips. <3
