Somethings different

Alex:
I woke up in pain all over. But before I could think about that where the fuck am I?
I was wearing a weird, spotty, uncomfortable gown. So..hospital. Why am I in the hospital. I tried to think about where I was last before I woke up in this place. The bed I was laying in was small and thin. In front of me was an even smaller TV. It was on but with no sound, only small yellow subtitles while two people argued.
Okay now I can think about how much PAIN I'm in. My legs felt stiff and bruised, I had a terrible headache any time I tried to think about how I got here. There was a tray with
some interesting looking food next to me. Hold on. Am I connected to tubes?!
I wonder how long I've been asleep.
Suddenly, nurse walked into my room.
"Oh! Your awake!" He smiled and sat on a stool next to me. "How are you feeling?" He said softly.
"I'm okay..well actually pretty much everything hurts. Can you please tell me what happened? Why am I here?" I watched his face to see if I could analyse how bad it was or not. his face stayed pretty much the same and he said
"you got into a car crash about 3 weeks ago. You've had a few visitors come to see you. Is there anyone specific you want us to call to see you since your awake?"
"Uhm well no one I would want to call lives anywhere near here so I don't think it's a good idea. I don't want my family to worry"
"Okay anyone that does live here?" He got out a piece of paper and looked at me.
"Oh wait! My freind billie! Maybe you could call her?"
"Is she the girl with bright green hair?"
"Haha yeah that's the one"
"Okay we can call her. She's been her a few times already but you weren't awake yet"
"Oh...oh"
The nurse left me with that. My best friend seeing me full of tubes and bruises. She couldn't even talk to me! I can't imagine having to see anyone I love in so much pain.
Billies pov:
"SHE IS?! Okay okay. I'm coming now. Yeah. No that's fine." I just got off the phone with the hospital and Alex is awake!! They said that I need to prepare myself for any memory loss she might have, but I don't even care. I just need to see her actually looking at me.
I got in the car and started driving to the hospital. I really really hope she remembers who I am. I know I said I don't care, and for now it isn't really the most important thing on my mind, but it would be awful if she didn't know who I was.
I was wearing all black (for obvious reasons) and I put my hood up to cover my face.
The annoying lady at reception saw me come in and looked at me weird. So what if I look dodgy, it's better than having a crowd of teenagers screaming my name right before I see my girlfriend, who's possibly forgot who I am.
"hi im here to see Alex...again" I said quietly. I could already hear some suspicious whispers in the waiting area so she needs to hurry this up.
"yep just go to where you went last time" she waved her hand at me and looked at her computer.
I walked so fast I was almost running until I stopped in front if the door. knocking on the lightly I said "Alex?"
"ohmygod Billie come in!" She sounded excited and she knows who I am? SHE KNOWS ME!
Alex's pov:
I heard billies voice and was so excited to see my friend again.
"Ohmygod Billie come in!!" I said loudly and she came in.
"Baby!!" She said and hugged me.
Baby?
Okay that's new.
"Hi..." I said a little bit more awkwardly "why do you look like the grim reaper?"
"Why do you think? I gotta avoid doing a meet and greet in a hospital idiot" She rolled her eyes at me.
"Hey don't roll your eyes at me! That's my move" She laughed and did it again.
Even if she does look like the grim reaper she looks really pretty.
"You look pretty" I said and smiled.
Is she blushing? Since when does billie blush at my compliments. Somethings different.
