"IS life still special when you only have a few moments left?"
Yumiko was looking for an old notebook she used to use for diary entries when she was younger but instead stumbled upon a journal her late brother had. A journal even she did not know about. She ran her fingers across the last sentence in the journal, repeating the words over and over again in her mind.
"Is life still special when you only have a few moments left?"
She thought back to her old memories of her older brother. She never saw him sad, she always remembered him with a smile on his face. And now, she doesn't know if she truly did know her brother.
She felt guilty by letting him suffer all alone on his own. Yumiko has always thought of him as someone strong, brave, and can do anything. But now, she realized that behind every strong person is also a broken one.
Tears started to build in her eyes, she wanted to stop it, she hasn't cried ever since she heard the news. And she didn't plan on crying now. So she forced the tears to stop and shut the journal, putting it back where she found it. Hidden under a pile of old paper works.
