Thinking about how the "Lovely Princess" novel goes is a Trauma Conga Line for some fans of Who Made Me A Princess. Original Athanasia was killed at the hands of her own father just because she was accused of poisoning Jennette, with Claude even telling his own daughter that he never saw her as one. Doesn't help knowing that the girl lost her mother, was confined in a shabby palace and is treated differently from how members of the royal family should be treated, or that her own father doesn't favor her and instead prefers her half-sibling, who is not actually his daughter, but his niece. Even worse, when it was proven that she was really innocent, instead of grieving, Claude didn't show any remorse from what he did.
