𝐓𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞

Chapter 22

Present

Everyone was out of the house except for the three mikaelsons who were unconscious, Cami finally left after she was not so subtly kicked out by Kol and Finn. Jeremy and Davina walked into the house laughing. 

"I'm not kidding." Davina laughed. Jeremy just shook his head, they just got back from her showing him around New Orleans. 

"You know I had a lot of fun today." Jeremy said. 

"I did too. It's not often that I could just have a day to not worry about a single thing in the world." Davina smiled. 

"Well I'm glad you had fun. We should do this again sometime," Jeremy suggested. 

"I would like that." Davina smiled even wider. 

In another room in the house Elijah laid. He too followed the sounds of voices down the dark hall just like Rebekah and Klaus did. He walked until the floor beneath him turned into one of dirt, leafs, and twigs. 

Elijah's Memories

Elijah walked passed multiple huts as he was in a hurry to get to his Katerina. He was late to meet her on the cliff near the waterfalls. After a few more minutes he finally reached the cliff, he could see Katherine sitting on a blanket watching the waterfall. 

Elijah walked over and sat down. "Katerina, I am so sorry I'm late. Time got away from me." Elijah apologized. 

"It's quite alright 'Lijah. I brought some food for us." Katherine opened the picnic basket that was between them.

There was grapes, cheese, crackers, and sandwiches. As well as some wine and two wine glasses. "Has your father arrived back from his trip?" Katherine asked as Elijah poured the wine. 

"No, but he should be arriving in a few days." Elijah answered. 

"So, 'Lijah tell me something I don't know about you." Katherine took a sip of her wine. 

"I think you already know everything about me, Katerina." Elijah said as he tried thinking of things he hasn't told her already. "What about you, what haven't you told me?" Elijah asks. 

"I haven't told you quite a bit, I like to keep the mystery." Katherine smirked.

Elijah went over to the Salvatore hut, Katherine invited him because her siblings were out on the dates. Elijah knocked on the door waiting for her to open it. Katherine swung the door open. "Come in Elijah." She smiled. 

Elijah walked in and waited for her to close the door. "So, I was thinking we could eat here and then go out and you could show me more of the village," Katherine said closing the door. 

"That's a good idea. What will we be having for lunch?" Elijah asked as he took a seat at the bench. "We are having porridge, bread, and to drink ale." Katherine said setting a two cups on the table.

She grabbed the bread from the stove and started to cut it up. "Where are your siblings today?" Elijah asked as he watched Katherine cut the bread. She turned towards him, "They are with your siblings." She turned back towards the bread. 

"Ah yes, Niklaus mentioned something about seeing Caroline today." Elijah recalled the conversation with his brothers and sister earlier. Elijah took a drink of ale that was in his cup. 

A lit a while later they arrived from Elijah showing her around. "I had a lovely afternoon 'Lijah." Katherine smiled. 

"As did I, Katerina." Elijah kissed her cheek and slowly pulled away. She looked up in his eyes and then back at his lips. She pressed her lips to his and he kissed her back.
